Brave Zebra serves as the co-development and work-for-hire arm of Digital Sun, the renowned creators behind successful titles such as Moonlighter, Riot’s League of Legends spin-off game The Mageseeker, and their latest self-published endeavor, Cataclismo.
After the development of Moonlighter, Brave Zebra emerged with a mission to extend its expertise and support to fellow indie studios and publishers.
Our goal is to empower others by leveraging the insights and experiences gleaned from our past successes.
Established in 2013, our studio comprises over 80 talented professionals, with more than 25 dedicated to the Brave Zebra unit. With a collective experience exceeding a decade in game development, we've cultivated a robust network within the industry. UI animation for Endling - Extinction is Forever. Creation of functional UMG Widgets and blueprints built in Unreal Engine 4 ready to be implemented by Herobeat Studios.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
Communication with Brave Zebra was effective and their responsiveness was commendable. They demonstrated a clear understanding of our creative vision and were receptive to feedback. This collaborative spirit was instrumental in bringing the project to fruition.
What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?
We acknowledge that there is an opportunity for enhancing the functionality of the UI elements to match their visual appeal. During the project, we encountered certain usability challenges. However, we only provided limited access to the source code and that probably made it difficult to conduct a thorough quality assurance assessment on the integration from Brave Zebra's side.

Describe your project in brief
Empyrion developed by Eleon Game Studios is a sandbox survival video game on PC that takes place on planets and in space with the ability for the player to build block by block vessels and bases. The project started in 2014 and was launched on Steam in August 2015. Since the game development continues with a team of around 12 members. The game is improving release after release with more and better contents, with new and improved features.
Brave Zebra has been a partner of Eleon Game Studios since 2020.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
