For one of the leading European hotel chains, research was conducted to explore the possibilities of blockchain usage. Main research was centered about the idea of loyalty program based on blockchain. A conclusion was that using blockchain for this particular purpose wouldn’t serve any technological benefits, compared to ‘classical’ databases. Marketing benefits of such technology should be considered as well.

Another approach tested was to create a full currency, which can work as a loyalty points. This approach was much more promising, especially if it was combined with support on hotels premises, including transaction in hotel bar, restaurant etc. The best and most prospective possibility would be to implement this currency into the whole ecosystem - allowing biggest operations, like booking a room via it as well. This would allow bigger customer retention, as the currency will make bookings in this hotel chain easier. This should include developing a dedicated wallet, which will allow to handle commercial communication, like discounts and special offers, easily.

Our challenge was to deliver cross-functional team able to take the biggest furniture e-commerce platform in Germany up to the next level. We were supposed to design, build and implement robust scaffolding and testing tools to optimize the ongoing development process. Our drive was to enhance and substantially upgrade the quality of the final product. Capacity required to serve a huge amount of data, expectations towards optimization and strict quality assurance standards made the project unique opportunity to prove our quality.

Fyber is an international, award-winning company providing mobile ad monetization platform and highly engaging mobile marketing solutions. Fyber lets Developers, Advertisers and Gamers maximize their revenues through the global ad marketplace.

Our task was to provide the team of top-class mobile developers and QA specialists able to make a major impact into new platform features. Key customer requirements were related to the high level of experience, solid performance and ability to communicate in German. After careful recruitment process, we composed the robust team of professionals dedicated for Fyber.

At first, we completed the team of seven senior developers (iOS, Android and Ruby) experienced in contributing for big players of the game industry. After the first success, we rapidly extended the team to eight developers and two QA specialists. The team is able to work on-site in Krakow as well as in Fyber's Berlin-based office. We believe that communication and product quality are crucial so we deliver each level of SDLC following Agile Scrum objectives.

We are collaborating with Deloitte on a spin-off project for the automotive industry leader, BMW. A current example of the work we are undertaken involves a dedicated data architecture and analysis technology stack deployed by our R&D department.

The goal of the project is to track the vehicles produced by the customer, on their way from the factory to the car dealers. Each car transmits frequent messages detailing its current position and the state of the sensors. This data must be matched with detailed information about the vehicle, which is stored in another system. The number of incoming messages is planned to be very high, so all of the processing is completed by the distributed architecture, using state-of-the-art Big Data tools.

The combined team for this project is comprised of senior and lead level Engineers, all with a solid commercial and scientific background in the field of Big Data. Our specialists are responsible for developing the entire processing chain: integrating the third-party services and creating Spark jobs which merge the data to then be sent to the front-end, which visualizes the cars in real time.

Additionally, we are also creating a REST API, which enables the data to be accessed via an HTTP interface. Aside from completing this technical work, our R&D lab has also become the first choice for other projects where the client is facing digitalization challenges.

The application for car dealers

The client needed expertise in terms of deciding on a technology stack. It was especially needed in the context of functionalities that were planned on being implemented, for every functionality a proper technological solution was needed to be selected, moreover that most of those functionalities were quite innovative and there was no easy, well-established solution on hand.

A dedicated development team, which was responsible subsequently for the development of the application performed detailed research on every functionality, to find the best and most efficient solution.

Finally, they established how each functionality could be executed technically, and based on that a whole technology stack was created.

We were commissioned in creating a multiscreen augmented reality application dedicated to authorized dealers of Kia Motors. We composed a nearshore expert development team of mobile/web developers, QA testers, graphic designers and UI/UX specialists. As a result, we were able to deliver a cutting-edge augmented reality application with eye-catching graphics and an excellent interface.

With Kia's marketing storage in-app, now there is the possibility of presenting galleries, 3D models, movies and additional information invisible to the naked eye.
