Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
Well, there are lot of metrics involved in the long journey of delivering a successful mobile app which has direct correlation with the total time taken. We evaluate all the crucial parameters like scope of the project, our team members with experience in the same field, total no. of resources to be involved, and the technology used while underlining scalability and all the associated risk factors so that an approximate time frame can be determined.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
The degree of effort on developing front-end and back-end varies on the size of the overall application and it varies project by project. But broadly, the front end involves 40% (+/- 10%) of overall project development and whereas, back end involves 25% (+/- 10%).
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
In mobility, there are many factors that influence the choice of tech stack and platform for development. Each app has a specific set of requirements and context of usage. After analyzing core features and functionalities for the client’s requirements, we factor in all the variables such as scale, sensor dependencies, usage urgency, and connectivity dependencies before recommending a platform that is best suited for client’s end business objective.
Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
Well as an operating system, Android and iOS both have their own spins in terms of strengths and weaknesses. We never claim our client asserting this one is inherently better over the other. Rather we closely scrutinize our clients’ requirements, niche, country, target users, allotted time, functionalities and complexities involved and then we connect the dots so as to land to a decision and recommend them their business suited platform.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
We highly recommend Native mobile app development (Android, iOS) presumably owing to the significant advantages it offers over other, some of them include security, reliability, high performance and better positioning on the app store.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
We really believe in improving ourselves and producing something new at every step of our work. The key factors are not limited but it depends upon the variables like the concept and scope of the project, its feasibility, clients’ budget, complexities, time constraints and technology used.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We’re not confined to any specific payment structure. We’re way flexible on that and it is solely decided between mutual understandings based on what our clients are most comfortable with. We deliver our services in the following types of payment structure- Fixed Price, Time and Material and Dedicated development DDC model.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Honestly there’ no bar of budget until the project wraps-in new technologies, innovative ideas, and teaches something to our team. We always believe in innovation and doing something new so there is no such constraint of the budget when we take in a new project. And undeniably, this practice eventually improves our portfolio offerings and enhances our knowledge and capabilities to attempt diversified projects and keep us ahead of our competitors into the market.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
2018 has been a good year in terms of revenue and the price range in this year has been in the lines of USD 10,000 to USD 120,000.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
The business model usually varies based on business types. The best suggested business model is always a commission based model followed by the subscription model. The reason for suggesting this model is because in this type of model the business owner doesn’t have to pay hefty amount to the outside world from their commission/subscriptions earning.
