Definition of Done

We are Definition of Done (DOD), a technology consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, dedicated to helping regulated and complex organisations build smarter systems, enhance digital capabilities, and accelerate innovation with confidence.

We work across three core practices. AI consultancy and transformation: strategy, GenAI deployment, agentic systems and AI governance. Software engineering and delivery: cloud-native builds, modernisation, and specialist blockchain and tokenisation work for regulated environments. Team augmentation and recruitment: embedding engineers and specialists directly into client teams, or sourcing permanent hires, assessed by people who've done the job themselves.

Our clients span organisations of every size, from scale-ups to large regulated enterprises, including financial services, government and public sector, energy and utilities, and healthcare, anywhere the cost of getting technology wrong is high.

We work embedded, not parachuted in: outcomes over outputs, honest assessment always, no consultancy theatre. DOD is Cyber Essentials certified, and our team has delivered for major financial institutions and government bodies.
