Induction HOB with Celsius° Cooking 

The project was about implementing a Bare-metal firmware compliant with Safety Class B, both secure core and application parts, for kitchen appliances – Induction Cooktops. The Developex team worked on firmware for various configurations of hardware and further firmware adaptation for a new subset of products.

Developex role:

• Firmware implementation from scratch, Safety Class B compliant architecture, and code development.
• Software Architecture and LIN protocol design.
• TouchUI and Touch tuning.
• Integration with 3rd party Hardware and Firmware/Software (e.g. Smart pots, which featured their own communication module and mobile app, Firmware update).
• Integration with the Client Cloud Service, thus supporting network features and remote control.
• Stabilization and bug-fixing activities, code optimization.
• Automated testing.
• Safety Class B compliance, preparing the necessary documentation for Safety certification, developing Safety Class B compliant codebase, and designing architecture.

The Client was responsible for Hardware, Bootloader software, Cloud services backend, manual QA, and 3rd party Firmware and Hardware, which we integrate.

During the project, our team created such project documentation as Software Architecture documentation, a Phase roadmap, a Safety Certification Submission document, and a QA bug tracking spreadsheet with a pipeline.

Time reports, release notes, and roadmap plans were prepared and provided regularly, which, together with close communication on the project status, detailed planning of project phases, and scope estimations, allowed us to get the project intro deadlines.

About

The project was about implementing modern, lightweight, full-featured software that runs from the browser with no installation needed.

The software supports gaming keyboards and allows users to customize lighting keybinds, and create different profiles from the browser, and store settings in the onboard memory of the keyboards. The software is compatible on PCs with Chromium-based browsers like Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Opera.

Main features that Developex was responsible for:
 - Software implementation from scratch
 - Web-based HID-USB gaming peripherals configurator with no installs, no processes running in the background, and no forcing the user to create a log in
 - Implementation of settings for lighting effects for the main keyboard and its side panels
 - Implementation of animations for lighting effects and custom settings such as brightness, speed, and choosing custom colors
 - Possibility to configure key actions and remapping for the base keyboard layer and FN layer
 - Up to 10 profiles, with the ability to import/export profiles as separate files

Developex was involved in the development of an award-winning real-time engagement technology platform that helps manage large-scale corporate recruitment processes and allows inbound application management at scale-up and outbound re-engagement of lapsing contacts.

The automated messaging and conversational platform is delivered as a service that strengthens relationships with candidates online, re-engages the long tail parts of aging databases, and surfaces valuable PALS (*Price/Position, Availability, Location, Skills) data in a GDPR-compliant environment.

We developed chatbots that deliver and manage qualification, application, and referral journeys against a role, interview scheduling, and contractor bench management and ensure only qualified applicants are funneled after hitting “apply now.”

About

The Client is a well-known American premium computer hardware manufacturer based in California. The company manufactures computer cases, components, and accessories for the PC gaming market.

Our team of gaming enthusiasts and professionals took part in developing firmware for gaming peripherals (keyboards) and made extraordinary gaming experiences.

Developex team developed the firmware for three types of gaming keyboards. All keyboards have the same feature set, but each keyboard has a different number of keys and different layouts to support several languages and allow users to choose the most comfortable keyboard for themselves.

We implemented the ability for users to use various lighting effects, including customizing their own, configure profiles, macros, and actions for ease of use of the keyboards.

Main features that Developex was responsible for

The difficulty of the project was to work without UI application as we have implemented the firmware part of keyboard development. Also, we developed the firmware in such a way as to optimally use the available memory and implement the maximum amount of functionality.

Developex team was responsible for testing the firmware. We used tests written in Python programming language and run these tests in PyCharm.
