Koishii at Mumbai's St. Regis had one of those and our brief was to capture it through the ambience, the people and the star of the whole shebang, the food. We rolled our cameras from day to night, held a party and ended with a drink that tasted like an old room that a very rich man was recently inside. and we shot this little film on the side.

‘I’ll just have to airdrop you these, there are way too many photos’ - this is the central blurb of our moment-narrative for House of Abhinandan Lodha’s travel film for their upcoming Dapoli-based project called Cape of Bliss. We presented the location as a kind of picturescape which requested, no, demanded constant attention, and deservingly so. We have our small crew of 4 young friends for the job gathering their personal heaps of moments as they go along experiencing Dapoli’s many virgin experiences, textures and histories. the film is set against a song that we thought appropriately fit the vibe of Dapoli, with its old-meets-new postcard scenery. The film works well to sell the need for a holiday, and in the process, the proposition too, so overall a success wethinks.

We imagined what ‘urban tribalism meets a sense of escape’ would look like at its most primal, given that the lifestyle that wearers of such clothes espoused was similar, at least philosophically. combine that with a moody music-based treatment and you have yourself what is essentially a music video featuring a clique of models who presented you with raw pride and passion against a dilapidated nature-takes-over backdrop.
