Describe your project in brief
EyeD is Dimeq’s onboard safety and situational-awareness system for vessels, providing a reliable real-time overview of who is on board and where personnel are located at zone level. It combines wearable wristbands with a network of fixed “EyeD gates” installed at key points (deck transitions, corridors, work areas, muster points). As people move through the vessel, gates detect and timestamp events, and the onboard system aggregates them into a live view for headcount, presence confirmation, and faster response during alarms, evacuations, and critical incidents. EyeD is designed for marine conditions (vibration, moisture, EMC/noise) and for dependable operation with minimal reliance on cloud connectivity. It is straightforward to install and maintain, and supports continuous improvement through feedback from real installations and sea trials.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
People, problem-solving oriented, inventive and knowledgable
What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?
They are growing very fast, and I miss the old days of communication. But that's just a personal opinion, they perform better, they have more resources, they can deliver faster, so it's all good on the business level, on the personal one I miss our brainstorming talks :) .
