Describe your project in brief

As the owner of a commercial construction and maintenance company, we desperately needed a way to cut down on calls and texts from our crews working in the field.

Our main project with Epic Apps was to have them custom build us an iPad app that we mainly use to have our field crews order job materials, provide critical job updates, and submit hours worked. Then Epic designed us a basic internal website that serves primarily as an employee “comments box”. We get a lot of valuable, constructive feedback about what makes our employees happy and what we need to do to improve some things.

From day one, their entire team was highly professional, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable about what would work best for our industry. They took the time to understand how our crews operate and used that insight to design a layout that’s extremely intuitive and easy to use—even for guys in the field who aren’t tech-savvy. The iPad app is very intuitive for our crew workers to use.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

We were very clear with them about the importance of keeping it under a tight budget that we had. So then they spent extra time in coming up with a solution that gave us the majority of the must have features and functionality that we needed. we ended up with much more than we originally thought we could afford!

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

In the beginning we had several different contact points at Epic for different aspects of the project, which was confusing to our internal project manager. However, then Epic assigned a great project manager to our project. From that point on, she kept everything running smoothly as our single point of contact at Epic
