I am glad to have found this company who have expert abilities with all aspects of bluetooth device and app development. Iottive mainly provides mobile application development services & embedded services. I started this company back in 2016 with the vision to provide excellent services and products in areas of IoT.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
I am very passionate about products and electronics. From the beginning of my career, I used to work with product-based companies, and that ignites me to start an organization which can offer excellent products and services in areas of IoT.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have an excellent team of Android, iOS, QA engineers, UI/UX creative engineers in house. We worked on fixed cost and hourly cost business model.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
We are providing a few value-added services to the client on a lower cost to create long term relationships. We do offer QA services, UI services at low cost when they sign-ups for Mobile app development services.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We are helping customers from different industries like Fitness, Healthcare, Building & Home Automation, Wearables, Automotive, Asset Tracking, Centralized & Integrated system controls. Yes, our customers are repetitive, and the ratio is more than 40%.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
a. There is an ample number of mobile applications are a market out, but some of them are extremely popular, some of them take time, and some are even not noticed. Every mobile app which is built as per requirements is needed lots of hard work within itself.
b. Keeping the above two factors, development company’s are adopting ideation of mobile apps, but it might fail to die for some reasons.

How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
Application development is depending on below key procedures:
Requirement analysis, Designing, Development, and Coding, Testing, Deployment, Support, and Maintenance.
Answer for this one is a bit hard as time frame will depend on many factors like:
1. Application platform
2. Requirement
3. Required R&D time
4. Defined development tool and its expertise in team
5. Resources allocation on project
6. Requirement MUST be clear and freeze before starting a development
If you want to build an application from stretch then as per experienced person, and my practice, I can say it will take at least one month to develop. This includes Design, Development, Testing, and Fixes.

1. Selection of right framework
2. Analysis of existing functionalities, and Future app functionalities planning
3. Select a platform which will consume less memory – Must require considering usability point of view
4. Helpful to develop highly animated mobile apps (If necessary to create)

Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
Platform selection can be determined based on many scenarios. Few of them are:
i. Client’s requirement
ii. Target Audience
iii. Cost
iv. Feasible development for crucial sections
Apple (iOS) – This is a closed ecosystem. This will regulate entrance to use their application. There are many restrictions and challenging list which developer has to follow it, if he wants that application Go Live on the store.
i. From the user perspective, purchasing a device that operates on a closed ecosystem means that it will have a higher price point.
ii. So, in general, Apple (iOS) application is more expensive than Android.
Android – This is an open-source system. It will allow modification as per requirement. This is an open platform, and the developer can get the Android source code for free.
I want to address a few key areas and best selection option from iOS and Android:
a. Customization: Android is more companion then iOS in customization. Android is open, and allow the developer to do customization while iOS is stuck with their regimented structure.
b. Privacy: In the privacy section, Apple is more aggressive then Android.
c. Fragmentation: iOS is strongly recommending. As more than 70 percent of devices are on iOS 12, while Android 9 pie is struggling to make a repo in the Android market.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
a. A hybrid app is created as a single app for use on multiple platforms such as Android and iOS, While Native is designed for one platform use specific.
b. Different platforms have different native programming languages, so instead of using web technologies to build one as seen with hybrid applications, you stick to the programming language for the target platform.

Conclusion: To chose Native or Hybrid is based on the requirement of the project. The decision should be in favor of build product needs to succeed in the live market.
Before selecting the type, analyze requirement, required time to develop an application, budge, long term maintenance, target audience, and user experience, etc.
The hybrid option is good, when you want application in short time on all platform, while Native is good to develop if you want to access devices resources accurately, the performance of an app, and you have enough budget to spent.

We are very flexible as per client need. We can work on an hourly basis where the client defines the scope, and we provide hourly quotations. We can work based on milestones also. Where we can agree on the fixed cost for each milestone.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We usually have a minimum budget of $300 for smaller bug fixes and minor modifications in scope.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
The price range of the projects we catered in 2018 was from $100 to $10000.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
The answer is quite difficult because the business model for application is dependent on the application type. Instead of following a model, it is more critical than which model you are selecting and how precisely you integrate it with your application.
Most popular apps are following a robust business model and convert the user to customers, instead of covering a broad base of users. Your business model should allow you to begin earning a profile, even without a massive amount of user in term of numbers.
It is essential that work out on a few plans, do some paperwork for profitability before you select any business model for the application. By testing and planning, you can optimize your business model, and ensure that it is the best fit.
