Necessary Technology

Necessary Technology was founded in 2005 when founder Jarrod Maxfield returned home, after spending 5 years out of state, with the idea to start and build a new business to help Mainers. After many ideas ,some pretty good and some pretty bad, computer repair bubbled to the top since "as long as people have computers they will have computer problems". Then from a small second floor office on Forest Avenue Necessary Technology was launched.

Since then we have served thousands of local customers, moved into a few larger spaces as we have grown and learned a lot along the way that has made us better and better.

We have added services as technology has changed and so with it our customers needs. In 2005 who could have imagined fixing a broken IPad screen or setting up Automatic Backups to the Cloud. That's one of the reasons we are Maine's best solution for Virus Detection and Removal, Computer Tune Ups , Operating System Reloads, Laptop Screen Replacement, Data Backup to keep it safe and Data Recovery when you lose it.
