Custom Software Dev for Video Game Platform

We’ve had 100% uptime since our initial beta launch of the platform, and it's been more than a year now. The platform has remained at 95% uptime since its launch, which is incredible, and they've never missed a milestone with our organization. They are laser-focused on budget and timing, which is something I’ve never seen in 30 years of development. We use Slack and Zoom almost exclusively for communication, and Miro boards and Jira for project management.

They built our websites and backend and handled UX/UI design. They have a substantial operational menu of all the services they have, but they’re integrated into our project; everything that we conceptualize from an operational perspective across the platform is led by their organization.

If we want new functionalities or a piece of the platform added, they take over after the initial requirements are gathered and maintain everything up to the launch of that part of the platform. They do this across our platform today, and it is substantial.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Mobile App Dev for WellTech Product Company

The app functions a lot like a game. Say my friend and I have been having a disagreement for over a year; the app lets us take our disagreement to social media and have everyone there decide whether my friend or I am correct. Then, the loser has to give the winner a gift card. The app has a digital wallet to hold the gift cards.

Psychologically, people can deal with their animosity through the application by finding a resolution to their problem. They put everything together and we reviewed it all. During our get-to-know-you calls, they reviewed my background and grew to be close, like family.

They’ve been amazing. All the visuals were only in my head when I brought them the ideas, and Novalab. brought them all to life. They were very patient as I articulated my idea in the beginning, and the quality they’ve given me is outstanding. Also, they’ve coached me along and given me more energy than I was expecting. I can ask them anything.

Describe your project in brief

I had an idea to stop the fighting and squabbling I would hear online, as it sometimes leads to real-world altercations and violence. I created an app that allows people to take their issues online and let social media resolve them.

All I had was an idea and pitch deck in my head, and Adrian and Zena captured everything that was in my head in an app. It will be live in the next three months.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Everybody comes on time to our calls and brings great energy. Even though this is my first time working with an app development company, I’ve felt comfortable throughout the project. They started to feel just like family after the second or third meeting. They’ll show me what they’ve done, and I’ll add my comments. It’s been a really great experience working with them.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

My only wish is that I would’ve hopped on a plane and met them in person already. I really want to take them all out to dinner to thank them for what they’re doing to me. There’s only really been one change that we had to make, and that was turning the cash-out function from a barcode to a QR code. This wasn’t a big deal, however.

Key outcomes were full functionality of all mobile App features for both iOS and Android platforms, and data capture within a Postgres database. UI/UX Design for Baby Monitor App

The App was the only interface to our baby monitor (hardware) product. So the App was our product and we needed to stand out from all the competition who either had baby monitors that came with clunky video monitor units or had apps that weren't as slick. In short, we wanted to stand out from our competition.
We worked really well with them. They were very flexible and adapted very easily to our team needs. We used our company's Jira instance to track all our development.

Describe your project in brief

To design the UI/UX of our mobile application. They worked with our marketing department to conduct consumer testing to design the correct UI/UX for the app. We then hired them to also build our first App to take to launch. We do not have any software/mobile developers in our company.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

How agile they are. They are quick to implement features and they seem to always be reachable and responsive to any of our needs. Their team was also very invested in our project.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

I can't think of anything at the moment. I don't think it's quite fair, but the team was not too familiar with hardware and live video streaming, so there were technical challenges we needed to overcome which took longer than I had hoped. This is a very niche need and we were also not paying accordingly.
