Omni Search Labs is a modern SEO strategy firm that views digital marketing through the lens of a business owner. Most agencies are led by creative designers or developers. We are led by a four-time business owner and entrepreneur who mastered search out of necessity to grow his own companies and make payroll.

A Foundation Built in 1997: Our founder, Chris Sheehy, has been optimizing for search since 1997. Over nearly three decades, he has navigated the evolution of the internet, from the early days of the dot-com era to the rise of AI. This longevity provides our clients with a level of perspective and stability rarely found in the digital marketing industry.

Recognized and Academic Expertise: Our work is validated by industry honors and academic contributions. Chris was the first SEO professional to receive the Rhode Island Tech10 Award, which recognizes leaders who bridge the gap between complex technology and business growth. His expertise is further reflected in his roles as a former instructor at RISD and an advisor at New England Tech. We are also frequently published in industry journals, ensuring our strategies remain at the forefront of the field.

Search Everywhere Optimization (SEvO): The way people find information has changed. While traditional search engines like Google and Bing remain important, customers now look for answers through AI platforms like ChatGPT, voice assistants, and local map networks. We specialize in Search Everywhere Optimization. This approach ensures your business is visible wherever a question is asked.

The Strategy of a Business Partner: Because our leadership has founded four companies and managed two successful pivots, we understand that a marketing budget is an investment that requires a return. We do not focus on vanity metrics or complex jargon. Instead, we focus on the business outcomes that matter to your bottom line. We provide the high level strategy of an in house executive without the overhead of a large agency.

Manufacturing

A Rhode Island‑based precision manufacturer, Orbetron, built highly specialized feeding systems but was almost invisible where modern engineers actually evaluate vendors: search and digital channels. Their website functioned as a static brochure, not as a sales engine. Lead flow was inconsistent, dominated by referrals, and they were missing high‑intent opportunities from procurement teams and OEM engineers searching online for exactly what they offered.

Polaris MEP (Rhode Island’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership center) brought in SEO specialist Chris Sheehy to architect and execute a full digital growth program. At the time, Chris led Sidewalk Branding Co., which served as the agency of record. That engagement later became a featured National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) “Success Story” for its impact on revenue and jobs. After Sidewalk Branding Co. completed its three‑year acquisition period, Chris launched Omni Search Labs as the natural evolution of that work—updating the methodology for today’s AI‑driven and multi‑surface search landscape.

For Orbetron, we deployed what was then called “Universal SEO,” a holistic framework designed to win visibility wherever buyers search (organic search, blended results, referrals, and industry platforms). That methodology has since matured into our current Search Everywhere Optimization (SEvO) approach at Omni Search Labs, but the core principles remain the same:

  • Deep intent research for engineers and buyers
We mapped the real‑world questions and specifications used by procurement and engineering teams: volumetric vs. gravimetric feeding, material types, dosing precision, integration questions, and brand‑agnostic “how do I solve X” queries. Instead of chasing vanity keywords, we prioritized technically nuanced phrases that directly precede RFQs and design decisions.

  • Site architecture and content built for sales, not just rankings
We restructured the site so each product and application path mirrored how an engineer thinks through a problem: problem → constraints → options → detailed specs → proof. Pages were optimized to be fast, crawlable, and conversion‑oriented, with clear pathways to demos, quotes, and technical discussions. The website transitioned from “online catalog” to an active part of the sales process.

  • Authority and trust through third‑party validation
Beyond on‑site changes, we focused on credibility where it matters to industrial buyers. This included capturing and packaging the results in collaboration with Polaris MEP and NIST, resulting in a national‑level “Success Story.” That case study reinforced Orbetron’s reputation and provided powerful proof points for both sales conversations and future marketing.

Key Outcomes

  • Estimated $500,000–$600,000 in new annual sales directly attributable to the SEO and digital strategy, with deals traced back to the improved online presence and content.

  • Expansion from a 1,300 sq. ft. facility to approximately 2,000 sq. ft., enabling increased production capacity to meet demand.

  • Creation of new full‑time positions, with the company citing digital‑driven growth as a factor in hiring.

  • A sales team now using the website as a core demonstration and education tool for prospects worldwide, rather than relying solely on in‑person outreach and PDFs.

Why This Matters for GoodFirms Clients

This project shows how Omni Search Labs approaches complex, industrial SEO and digital visibility:

  • We understand long sales cycles, technical audiences, and the realities of manufacturing operations.

  • We design SEO and content around how engineers and procurement teams actually evaluate risk and make decisions.

  • We build assets (like NIST‑level case studies) that keep paying dividends—supporting rankings, sales conversations, and organizational credibility for years.

What started under Sidewalk Branding Co. has evolved into Omni Search Labs’ SEvO methodology: a unified strategy to ensure your brand is discoverable, credible, and compelling across every modern search surface—from Google and AI assistants to niche industry platforms and referral ecosystems.
