I am so thankful that I found Sanchit, Sunny and everyone at Quokka Labs. They are true thought partners, exceptionally skilled and just all around great to work with. I met with four firms before connecting with Quokka Labs, and I'm so glad I didn't end up working with the others. They've at this point done hardware compatible: two iOS apps, an Android app, web app for internal administration and designed for dark mode. On my next project, they will be my first stop.

Quokka Labs is a digital product consultancy that revolves around creating the most reliable and highly scalable mobile and web applications. I along with two of my other partners Pooja & Sanchit co-founded this company in 2018 and we’ve built a highly skilled team of technocrats that architect, design & develop robust applications & digital solutions for our reputable clients worldwide. Within our team, I head Technology & Delivery and help drive the vision to transform our clients’ ideas into powerful digital products and applications with the use of emerging cutting-edge technologies.

What is the story behind starting this company?

After a successful exit from my previous technology company, (acquired by SHL- previously Aspiring Minds), in 2015, I headed Mobile technology for SHL for over 3 years, helping them build TOP Assessment and Internships platforms on iOS, Android & Web platforms. However, I was always driven towards building a technology company of my own that would create digital products of the highest quality and stability, and hence in 2018, I collaborated with my two other partners Sanchit & Pooja to kick-start our journey at Quokka Labs. And that’s how our journey began towards building a strong team of developers, designers, and innovators that help bring client ideas to life with beautiful and compelling digital applications.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third-party vendors/ outsourcing?

We are a complete in-house design and development team helping clients, start-ups and enterprises scale their business digitally by helping them build upon their ideas from scratch.

We expertise in Mobile (iOS/Android/Flutter), Web & Application Development, and also specialize in product design & strategy solutions enabling our clients to better engage with their customers.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

We totally believe in the power of collaboration and work seamlessly with our clients to understand and build upon their needs. The key differentiator is our keen eye for delivering a compelling user experience with our products. Our team creates products and treats them as our own, helping us deliver the best each time. Working closely & owning the Product is really what we believe has been the success factor first for our clients & to us as well.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

Our customer satisfaction rate is over 90% and we’ve managed awesome feedback and reviews from our clients. We have some amazing testimonials from our clients too. What works the best for us is the fact we work very closely with our clients, collaborating seamlessly with them to assess their needs and requirements and having a clear and transparent communication flow with them. Also, we ensure we have dedicated teams working on each client project so that they can deliver maximum value on time.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

We have a dedicated team working on each project. With a dedicated project coordinator or project manager assigned to each project, we ensure that we are always on top of our client's requirements and can support them as required. At the time of client onboarding and requirement gathering itself, we set up a common channel of communication on Teams, Slack and also set up the project on JIRA and Trello for project visibility and clarity.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

We are totally a clients’ company and are flexible with our billing and payment structure. We work on both Fixed Cost and Pay per Milestone basis. We also work on a dedicated resource allocation model.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

We don’t have any set budget requirements as such while looking for projects. We look to work on projects that are challenging and can help us grow as a company. Overall, our project sizes range between $5,000 - $100,000.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?

For 2020, our project sizes ranged between $5,000 - $100,000.

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

We definitely aim for doing quality & innovative work in the field of technology and creating amazing value for our clients in the next 10 years. We want to see our first set of clients continuing to grow with us over the years.
