Increase the number of installs in countries where such apps are popular.

The Solution

To begin with, the RadASO team conducted a thorough analysis of relevant competitors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the niche. Using data on the number of installs for competing applications, we have identified priority countries that require optimization. The chart below displays the market shares for this particular niche.

The Result

Client

A mobile application that allows users to virtually try on different hairstyles, change hair color and length, and experiment with styles directly on their smartphones, providing a risk-free experimental environment to experiment before committing to any drastic transformations in real life.

Goal

To improve visibility in target countries and increase the number of downloads through App Store Optimization.

Solution and Team Actions

To achieve this goal, we initially conducted a thorough analysis of the application’s niche and competitors, utilizing our proprietary RadASO Tech Boosted Solution tool, which provides advanced market research capabilities. Our aim was to identify as many competing applications as possible. Based on our calculations, we were able to project the estimated number of downloads and purchases for these applications. This insight allowed us to see the overall traffic picture in the niche and prioritize countries with the highest potential for promotion.

For promotion, we selected eight locales, gathered semantics, and prepared metadata, which were released in two stages:

September 27, 2022: French, French (Canada), English (Canada), English (U.K.).

October 4, 2022: English (US), Russian, Spanish (Mexico), Arabic - cross-locales in the USA.

Result

Following the release of the metadata, the application secured the top positions in the search results for new keywords and immediately started receiving impressions and downloads in France, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

As a result of incorporating relevant keywords, the application's impressions increased by 72%, and downloads by 413%.

You can make and receive calls, participate in conference calls, and get mobile data in 200+ countries without roaming fees.
 

The Goal:
The client's goal was to increase app visibility and installs in the target countries.
 

The Solution:
Before collaboration with RadASO, the client's app had only one well-developed locale and less than 10 installs per day. We had the task of increasing the visibility of the application in the AppStore and achieving an increase in organic traffic. To accomplish this, we collected data on the competitors and conducted a detailed analysis of the niche. This allowed us to identify priority countries by the number of installs.

We chose the locales that reflect the languages spoken in these regions for priority development.

To optimize the metadata, we collected semantic cores for the target countries. We added the most relevant search terms to the titles in order to rank for them in the search results as much as possible and to showcase a visible part of the metadata (the title and the subtitle) that describes the application's functionality as best as possible.

The Result:

We achieved significant growth in the organic metrics and improved keyword ranking. 

After the first release, the app's organic traffic grew by 134%. After the second release, impressions increased by 107% in the countries that we worked on. The number of units has also grown in these countries.

The Client

INTERTOP is an online marketplace for branded clothing and shoes, a favorite shopping platform of many Ukrainians.

The Goal

Increase installs in Apple Search Ads within the current budget.

The Solution

RadASO always starts by launching two ASA campaigns — Discovery and Exact.

  1. The Discovery campaign focuses on expanding the semantic core and finding new relevant search terms. The Apple system automatically selects the words it deems contextually relevant to show the app. This is a search match enabled campaign with no pre-selected keywords, but we opt for certain minus-words we want to exclude the app from showing up for (from the Exact campaign).

  2. As for the Exact campaign, here we create a separate group for each exact match keyword. Initially, all Exact campaign search terms are in the Data collection mode, which essentially means the process of collecting statistics to draw upon later. Then, after gaining 1000 impressions or 30 taps, we shift the queries to go into Regular mode in their respective groups: Common term, Competitors’ brands, Our brand (and others, if necessary).

We performed a detailed analysis for INTERTOP during which we discovered that Discovery campaigns had stopped bringing in new relevant search terms.

We decided to turn off the Discovery campaign and distribute the budget among other groups. We increased the budget for Our brand and Competitors’ brands — this is because buying the maximum quantity of impressions by brand remains a high priority for clients. We also reduced the budget for groups with high installation costs, namely Data collection and Common term.

The Result 

We got 12.3% more installs and reduced the cost per install by 12.31% compared to the previous month with a virtually unchanged overall budget.
