Software Solutions and Designs

Software Solutions and Designs, Inc. (SSD) has been in business since 1992.  We started out as a software developer writing Point of Sale software and other custom applications. 

During this time many of our customers asked if SSD could provide the computer hardware for the Point of Sale applications and for their office environment.  SSD began our journey of building custom computers by cherry picking the hardware components to design and create systems based on customer needs.  This also led into designing and building servers, networking, data cabling and peripherals including printers.

Interestingly the software development took a back seat to the computer and related technology sales.  During the Y2K 9(Year 2000) crisis SSD decided to stop software development and focus on general sales and service.  Computer sales were growing a steady pace and the PC market was growing and software for this platform was flourishing.

In the early 2000’s SSD also added telephone systems to our portfolio with 3Com NBX solutions.  This platform was designed to work on standard computer networks and dovetailed nicely with current offerings.  Later SSD added in products from Vodavi, Vertical, Zultys, iPECS, 3CX and Avaya.   Today we primarily focus on Avaya premise and Cloud based solutions.
