Spark PR Reviews
Very poor PR performance
Please do your research before settling on Spark PR and avoid retaining them as your PR company. In our case, their claims to have extensive connections within the consumer tech press seemed completely inaccurate and untrue. After a couple of months of working with their team, the only thing they seemed to deliver was a press release. I was left with no choice but to terminate their contract early for lack of performance. It’s so frustrating to launch a product with almost no coverage. Their outreach consisted of cold emails to the wrong editors. When I tried to redirect them, they said all the right things, but did not perform. They did acknowledge on several occasions their failure and they tried to attempt to rectify it, but nothing resulted in change.
We launched two of our flagship products with zero media mention on Day One of our release, forcing us to bring PR and outreach “in house”. This resulted in a wide array of media coverage through our own team’s effort.
One last thing worth mentioning is that we settled upon this company out of 4 others despite being on the pricier end.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
Not much
What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?
They should work on under promising and over delivering and not the other way around. They seem to be mostly interested in collecting their monthly payments. We had our weekly meetings that seemed promising but very little work seems to be performed in between those meetings. Lastly i recommend they don't take on projects they have very little experience with like consumer tech- They failed miserably in this category and had a very negative effect on our company.
