I was managing a complex blockchain and crypto currency project where SPARK+ team was involved as a tech development contractor and a project partner. Over a period of a few months the team developed a personal crypto wallet software enabling wallet owners to buy/sell/exchange cryptocurrencies, and a cryptocurrency payment system - a business solution to receive and process payments in cryptocurrencies. The SPARK+ team also helped the product owner issue a proprietary corporate token and a stable coin including smart-contracts development, and develop back-end solutions for the company token private sale and IDO functionality.

SPARK+ is a product innovation company having expertise in various modern technologies and specialized in blockchain development. We help businesses through unique processes of product invention beginning with the discovery phase followed by planning, research, development, Launch & Marketing.

With a proven track record in blockchain development, SPARK+ deals with various industry domains such as Payment & finance, Decentralized Finance, Documents & Legal, Supply chain, Digital Transformation, E-commerce, Health Care, and Identity.
Market-ready Whitelabel solutions built by SPARK+ enable clients to reduce time to market. We have branches in India and the USA. Our clients are spread across the USA, Asia, Europe, and Australia.

As the CEO of SPARK+ Technologies, my role is to run Tech as well as the operations side for SPARK+ including Business and Tech Strategy, its Execution, and timely monitoring to ensure continuous growth of the company.

What is the story behind starting this company?

SPARK+ is a brainchild of our founder Sudesh Sangelkar’s vision to build unique tech expertise in advanced technologies to serve clients globally to meet their innovation needs. We started it in 2018 in a state called Goa in India with a short-term goal to give employment to the locals and build a local tech ecosystem in the state. Our focus was building futuristic products using next-generation technologies such as blockchain.

What are your company’s business model–in-house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We believe in building our own expertise organically starting with our own industry-ready talent development training. All our employees are internal hires and we do not rely on external recruitment agencies or vendors.

This helps us to retain knowledge internally, and bring predictability, and stability in meeting our customers' project delivery.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

We consider ourselves product innovators with a business-oriented mindset. The major difference is we give more attention to product and business requirements. Then recommend our approach by research. We believe each business is unique and needs to be analyzed first before recommending any tech solution. We believe in long-term engagements which can help us and our client grow together through the tech solution we have built.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We are a research-based product innovation company and are not limited to any specific industry. We can support any industry. Most of our current customers are from Fintech, Retail, Travel, and Healthcare sector. You can find the list of our customers on your website.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

We have positive feedback from almost all clients as we maintain transparency with our clients. We follow the process of having certain checks from clients from time to time. That makes sure clients are in sync and it offers multiple windows for clients to give feedback in the early stage.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

We closely align with our clients to understand their business, operations, and risks and work closely as a tech partner and just not a traditional development firm.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

We have 2 pricing models. In the Fixed cost model project will be divided into multiple milestones each with its own cost and timeline for delivery. In the Time and material model we charge on an hourly basis for resources and the total cost will be depending on actual usage.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Our project costs are normally low as most of the customers we do equity and budget. This way, we develop long-term commitment with the business as a tech partner. Our ranges depend on our equity model. And non-equity depends on the complexity of the project and can vary from $2000 to $200000.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?

$20000-$100000.

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

We learn every year and make changes to our goals based on our learnings. In the coming years, our goal is to establish trust with our existing customers and help them grow their businesses with our partnership. Build partnerships with well-established tech brands.
