Education

Adler University came to Takt/Studios with a clear challenge: strengthen their digital presence and recruitment efforts across both their Vancouver and Chicago campuses. They needed a unified suite of branded content—video, photography, b-roll, headshots, and motion graphics—that could carry a modernized brand story across web, social, and campaign channels.

We began by grounding ourselves in Adler’s mission. Through interviews with students, faculty, and leadership, we uncovered a shared narrative of purpose, social impact, and academic rigor. Our task was to translate that into a visual language that felt human and consistent across two cities.

Production unfolded across Vancouver and Chicago, each campus offering a distinct energy. Together, the footage formed a cohesive story built around a flagship brand video—supported by a deep library of b-roll and interview selects designed for future recruitment and marketing needs. This “capture once, deliver many” approach gave Adler long-term value without inflating production days.

Photography was crafted with the same intention. We captured campus life, academic environments, faculty portraits, and professional headshots—assets that now anchor Adler’s website, campaigns, and social channels. A custom motion graphics system completed the toolkit, ensuring consistency across every platform.

A key strength of the project was the collaboration between Takt/Studios and Takt Ventures, which led the broader brand refresh and digital campaign. Working as a unified team ensured every asset—film, photography, motion, and web—aligned seamlessly.

The result: a future-ready content ecosystem that elevates Adler University’s presence in both Vancouver and Chicago, supports recruitment, and gives their marketing team a versatile, strategically grounded library built to scale.

Government

Empowered Startups supports innovators, founders, and highly skilled entrepreneurs as they navigate immigration pathways and build impactful ventures in new countries. Their work sits at the intersection of economic development, global mobility, and innovation — and the goal of this project was to translate that mission into a compelling visual narrative for an international policy audience.

We led the full creative and production process, including story development, scripting, visual direction, editing, and motion design. The video highlights key shapers and movers throughout history who ventured to new territory and build a lasting legacy.

The final film was showcased at a UN-aligned summit focused on global migration and talent mobility. Its purpose was to elevate awareness of the economic and societal contributions made by high-value immigrants, support Empowered Startups’ policy advocacy work, and inspire leaders to consider more forward-thinking immigration frameworks.

The result is a high-impact narrative tool that continues to support Empowered Startups in conversations with governments, agencies, and international partners—helping position them as a trusted voice in the future of global talent movement.

Forced scam labour is one of the fastest-growing—and least understood—forms of human trafficking. The people sending those everyday scam texts aren’t criminals by choice. Many are victims trapped in violent scam compounds across Southeast Asia, coerced into targeting strangers across the world. Hagar International asked Takt/Studios to help turn this hidden crisis into something people could no longer ignore.

We built the campaign film Hidden in Plain Sight around a simple, haunting idea: a split screen connecting two women living opposite realities. On one side, a woman in North America moves through an ordinary morning—smoothie, commute, routine. On the other, a trafficked woman endures fear, surveillance, and brutality inside a scam compound. Their lives intersect the moment a scam text appears on-screen—revealing how intimately these worlds collide.

To keep the story grounded, our team treated the text message thread as a narrative engine. The onscreen graphics were crafted with as much intention as the cinematography: halation, grain, transparency, and motion design woven carefully into the footage to make the digital elements feel tangible. The pacing of each incoming message was tuned to carry emotional weight without overwhelming the viewer.

Production was intentionally minimal—natural light, restrained set design, and a small crew—to mirror the stark conditions survivors described. Our actors volunteered their time, bringing honesty and humanity to both roles. Every detail—from the cramped compound set to the polished North American apartment—reinforced the contrast at the heart of the story.

The final deliverables included a 90-second cinematic film and a vertical social cut, built for impact across campaign channels. Hidden in Plain Sight now serves as a powerful awareness tool for Hagar International, driving audiences to learn more, share the message, and support anti-trafficking efforts. For Takt/Studios, this project reflects what we believe deep

Education

LDS is one of British Columbia’s leading educational nonprofits, but their story wasn’t reaching the families who needed to hear it. They were known for life-changing support for children and adults with learning differences—yet affluent families, a crucial audience for sustainability, weren’t engaging. LDS needed a shift in how the organization showed up in the world. They needed a story that resonated.

Takt/Studios stepped in to redefine their narrative and build a campaign anchored around a single, powerful film. Our focus became Joshua—a student whose journey embodied the challenges and breakthroughs LDS unlocks every day. Before cameras rolled, we spent time with Joshua’s family, building trust and drawing out the small, human details that would make the piece feel lived-in rather than manufactured.

Production unfolded over two days. The first centered on interviews with Joshua’s parents—raw, honest conversations about fear, frustration, and hope. The second was devoted to capturing the quiet moments that reveal who a family really is. When Joshua sprained his ankle the day before the shoot, we rebuilt the storyboard on the spot. Instead of movement-driven scenes, we leaned into stillness, connection, and care. The shift didn’t weaken the narrative—it deepened it.

In the edit suite, the story found its final shape. Music, pacing, colour, and sound were crafted to carry emotional weight without tipping into sentimentality. Alongside the flagship three-minute film, we produced shorter social cuts designed to meet families where they actually consume content.

The outcome was more than a video. It was a repositioning—one that helped LDS show up with greater clarity in Vancouver’s competitive education landscape and connect with the families who could both benefit from and sustain its mission. By pairing strategy with deeply human storytelling, we helped LDS reinforce its role as a trusted, transformative resource for learners of all ages.

Takt/Studios partnered with BGIS, a global leader in sustainable facilities management, to develop a large-format highlight video showcasing the organization’s worldwide progress toward achieving “Blue Zone” certified buildings. With the video set to premiere at a major industry event, the goal was to communicate BGIS’s global scale, environmental commitments, and project impact in a way that felt cinematic, cohesive, and cost-efficient. Rather than coordinating international production, Takt/Studios built a narrative-driven solution that combined a compelling scripted voiceover with carefully curated high-quality stock footage representing BGIS’s diverse regions of operation. This approach allowed the team to convey a truly global feel while staying within accelerated timelines and budget constraints. Motion graphics, animated data overlays, and a polished editorial style reinforced key sustainability metrics and unified footage from multiple countries into a single, emotionally resonant story. The final deliverable was optimized specifically for live event screens—prioritizing visual clarity, pacing, and audience engagement—while remaining versatile enough for future digital use across presentations, internal communications, and marketing channels. The result was a high-impact video that elevated BGIS’s message, strengthened their positioning as sustainability leaders, and demonstrated how thoughtful storytelling paired with smart production choices can deliver large-scale value without the need for global on-site filming.
