What is the story behind starting this company?

Being a technology enthusiast, I had freelanced for a few years and hence always wanted to offer better technology solutions than what was being offered to clients by companies which I worked for. This has been the starting point of Thinkbar’s journey. Thinkbar was born in September 2014 as a sudden decision (due to an unexpected client onboarding and set terms of working). Interestingly, September 2014 also marks the birth of my little angel.

It’s satisfying to see both growing healthy and strong.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third-party vendors/ outsourcing?

We at Thinkbar have a skilled team of In-house Designers, Developers, Mobile App Developers, Project Managers, SEO Experts, Digital Marketers. As an extension to our in-house team, we also have a pool of skilled and varied sets of freelancers / third-party vendors onboarded on a project basis.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

Thinkbar’s vision is to provide the best of technology at an affordable cost. We at Thinkbar feel that technology is not a choice but a necessity that should be a part of every company’s forecast and growth journey.

We pitch ourselves as your Technology Arm (or department) for your company. To add to that, we are also a technology agnostic company. Hence, our offerings to our clients are not bound by any particular technology. Instead, we suggest to our clients what technology actually fits what they need and accordingly plan their development journey.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We have worked with companies from a wide spectrum of domains, ranging from NDFC, Infrastructure Companies, Pharmaceuticals, Construction, Solar, Technology, Cryptocurrency, Finance, Fashion & Apparels, Cosmetics, Health & Wellness, etc.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

We have a customer satisfaction rate of close to 80%.

Whenever a new client is onboarded, depending on the kind of project -

•    a SPOC (Customer Success Manager) is assigned for the project.
•    there are a couple of requirements gathering sessions to understand the precise requirement.
•    Once the requirements are frozen, the technology options are suggested with various pricing options. Thinkbar also explains the Pros & Cons of each technology, its impact on their project.
•    The technologies suggestions are carefully suggested are based on various factors, such as the project's requirement, market trend, talent availability in the market, etc.
•    Parallelly, if there is a design service also included, then wireframe and prototypes of the website/app also are kickstarted.
•    Once the client has given a sign-off, then the actual design and development phase is initiated.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

For each client, there is a SPOC (Customer Success Manager) assigned. In addition to this, a WhatsApp group is also created between the key stakeholders of the project.
In case of more extensive projects and upon special requests, 1 or 2 key stakeholders from the client's end can also be given access to our Project Task Board (Project Management Tool).

Having a WhatsApp group between the Team & the client ensures transparency and faster response times.

Email approval from the client is taken to maintain a trail of events and ensure accountability.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)?

The Payment structures vary on a project basis. We work with a 50% advance for small-sized projects. In contrast, for larger projects (e.g., Customized development, Mobile App Development, etc.), the payment structures are mutually agreed upon with the client with a lesser advance and then Pay-out in Phases / Milestones.

For international clients, the preferred payment method is Per Man Hour basis.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Our minimum budget requirement is 1000 USD. If there is a bulk website development request, we are happy to relook at the minimum budget as an exception.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?

In 2020, we catered to projects ranging from 800 USD – 10,000 USD. In addition to that, we also try to match our budgets with clients' expectations and budgets at times.

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

My vision is to make design & technology a bare minimum necessity for every IT / IT-supported business. Keeping in line with the vision, I would look forward to increasing our in-house capabilities for each significant technology prevailing in the market, thus widening the scope of our offerings.

In addition to the above, I would like to achieve the above while maintaining a work-life balance for all our employees, our greatest strength.
