Please introduce your company and your role within the company.
Touch Instinct is one of the leading mobile app developers serving clients from Europe, the United States and Israel. We are the first Russian custom development company to become a member of global Application Developers Alliance. I am the Chief Executive Officer of the company.
We were founded in 2011 and have built more than 100 applications till now. Half of them are returning customers. We have great relation with our customers who keep coming back and also recommend us to their friends.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
Most critical for us is to understand that how many custom things goes into the application which we have to develop from scratch. If we are working on something customizable, it will increase the time frame. It also depends on the quality which our customer wants to achieve. If the apps have a lot of designing requirements like there are lot of animations, even then it takes a lot of time to develop such an app. Apart from all these, security is also a factor that often stretches the timeline of developing an app.
What is your company’s business model?
We have a team of 40 people in-house. We do not outsource any work.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
Usually our customers decide which platform to develop an app, because it is their business and we help them to reach their goals. So we recommend to go with iOS first because it is much more easy to develop an iOS version first.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients?
Usually, we work on Pay per hour or Pay per milestone basis. We do not give the estimation for the whole project, we only give estimations for the first month or may be two months. At times where there are a lot of complex features in the app, it’s really impossible to give estimation at the beginning of the project.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to?
Yes, we generally consider projects that are above 25,000 US$. Unless some project is extremely interesting or adds value to our portfolio we stick to this amount. We worked on a project which took more than two years to complete and the price reached from 500,000 US$ to 1M US$.
Which business model do you suggest to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
We create applications that are part of some services and they are not supposed to generate revenue from itself.
