Introduction

Our team started this software project with a clear goal: to create a web-based investment platform that empowers users to invest and enjoy financial rewards. 

Challenge

Our primary obstacle was to pinpoint the crucial features needed for the initial release of the project and identify the integrations that would expedite its early launch.

In close collaboration with the client, we undertook a comprehensive validation process to outline the foundational Wireflows for the entire platform. This critical step allowed us to solidify our understanding of what the MVP should encompass.

Through these Wireflows, we recognized that the MVP should prioritize essential functionalities that included:

Login and Signup: The first building block involved establishing a secure and user-friendly login and signup process,. To streamline this crucial aspect, we opted to leverage Auth0, a trusted platform for authentication and identity management.

Investor Identity Verification: Building trust and ensuring compliance were of paramount importance. We recommended the integration of Sumsub, a robust identity verification solution,, into the platform. This not only expedited user onboarding, but also guaranteed the validation of investor identities,, enhancing the platform's security.

Investment Creation: The core purpose of the platform was to facilitate making investments. Therefore, we prioritized the ability to create an investment within the MVP.

Investment detail: Despite being an MVP, we acknowledged the significance of providing users with a basic overview of their investments,. This investment detail displayed essential information, such as the investment amount and earnings, in a convenient chart format.

Implementation and Development

Using collaboration, agile methods, and a supportive technology stack, we implemented and developed the investment platform. This core phase transformed our concepts into functional, user-friendly software.

Background
The company was facing challenges in hiring the right developers to build the platforms because they didn't understand the needs, and they didn't have enough experience in the area. It was really frustrating that they had to shut down the project for a while.

Challenge
The first obstacle we faced was defining an easy solution for a complex flow that the client was envisioning. As a platform to onboard new clients and employees, there were many features and different solution alternatives to discuss on the table. To list a few of them:

Stepper Editor: As part of the core value proposition, it was crucial to create a simple process for any user to understand in order to create an onboarding process without requiring a learning curve.

Sign Integration: As a platform for onboarding new clients and employees, it was necessary to have digital transaction management for the document signing process. As an MVP, creating this solution from scratch was not an option. That's why we implemented SignWell, an e-signatures platform that allows API integration for a smoother signing process.

Payments: The platform requires handling online payments for businesses with low commissions to allow businesses to charge payments to their customers more easily. To handle this process, we implemented Stripe Connect, a service that allows businesses to easily enable third-party payments and manage payouts to multiple parties.

Results
The company was able to launch on expected deadline as well as getting their first beta users on their platform with a pretty positive feedback. In addition they express how impressive investors were interested on investing on the platform to scale the product.
