Karen van Zyl left her corporate job in 2008 and started Limetree Consulting Solutions. In 2014 it became VA Connect, a managed virtual assistant agency. Today we place dedicated remote professionals, all based in South Africa, with businesses in the US and the UK. Karen is still our CEO, and she runs every inbound discovery call herself.

Our VAs work in executive support, project management, sales and marketing.

So, let's take you through our process. After your discovery call, we email you our welcome pack. It's not to sign at this point, it's for transparency.

If you're happy to go ahead, Nikki, our Talent Acquisition Manager, drafts the job description for your review. She screens our bench of 600+ South African professionals first. Each candidate sits the Boiler Room, a 45-minute simulation of a day in your role. They need 80% or higher to reach your shortlist.

You get 3 to 4 CVs with Boiler Room results attached, and we ask you to interview each one. Then Laurez (Client Success) and Marike (Team Success) run onboarding with you and your VA. Go-ahead to start usually takes one to two weeks.

So what if it doesn't work out? We try to fix it first. If we can't, we replace your VA at no extra cost. We work on a month to month basis, so there's no long tie-ins. We have 98% client retention over 14 months.
