We needed a custom AI platform for a UK higher education institution, but the goal was never to build just another chatbot. Students, lecturers, and admins all had different needs, and we wanted one product that could genuinely support academic work instead of forcing people to juggle separate AI tools and multiple logins. YUAL turned that idea into a full AI-powered EdTech platform. They integrated multiple AI models—GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, and DALL·E—into a single interface with role-based workflows tailored to each user type. Students use it for learning support, research, exam prep, concept explanations, and academic writing. Lecturers access teaching workflows, lecture drafting, assignment support, marking assistance, and AI-generated feedback. Admins get a dedicated dashboard for user management, prompt control, and platform configuration.

Working with yual was structured and responsive throughout. Having one team handle both frontend and backend eliminated coordination overhead, and their delivery cadence stayed consistent. What really set them apart was understanding which technical decisions mattered for the product—they isolated integrations, designed the database with a clean audit trail from the start, and built the real-time layer to handle concurrent load. Those choices paid off significantly when we scaled, saving us from substantial rework down the road.
