Best tool for doing keyword research, content research, and backlink analysis

Review Summary

This is a comprehensive SEO tool that does a lot of things including keyword research, content research, backlinks analysis, SEO analysis, traffic, and backlink monitoring among others. It also has a comprehensive knowledge base for doing things like link building, content creation, and keyword research.

The drawback of using Ahrefs is that it's expensive especially for a small business. And it's a bit complex to use for a newbie. There's a learning curve when you start using this tool.

Overall, I tend to prefer Ahrefs for doing keyword research, content research, and backlink analysis for my business - Gardening Mentor.

Review Summary

As a Founder of Go CryptoWise and Go CryptoMarket, my hands-down best SEO tool is without a doubt Ahref. I have tried them all (almost). I've used much software. You name it, I've tried it

Ahrefs pros:

1. Best link research tool on the market. Find new links to your site and your competitors quicker and in a much more complete format than any other tool out there.

2. Best tool for keyword research. Make use of their extremely easy keyword research tool to find new content ideas by either looking into what the competition has written successfully about. Find opportunities with low keyword difficulty (low competition) and high traffic (search volume).

My go-to strategy is to look for those opportunities and see if I can write a better article than what's out there.

3. Competition research - I can as mentioned check out my competition and see if they are doing well in some regards (a page of theirs or certain keywords). Then I can easily analyze that page. How good is the content? How many links does it have pointing to it, etc. This is super valuable for me.

Ahref cons:

A bit pricey. So if you are starting out on a small budget like me then it can get a bit too expensive for the version of the full feature.

They have 7-day trials so test it out. But I am sure you will find it so helpful that you will come back for more after testing the other ones out too!

You can go with the lite version which still makes it an excellent tool if you can't afford the pricier versions.

Otherwise, the organic search features on Ahref where you can track how well your pages are doing for certain keywords are also excellent. They have lots more features that is worth mentioning why Ahref is the best SEO tool on the market. And with SEMRush being the second best for me.

But overall their tool is also the best because it's the easiest one to use. Even though it's feature-rich the tool itself is not daunting and it is very self-explanatory. Which is great for people like me without years of SEO experience.

Review Summary

Being a Digital Marketer and Data Analyst by Profession, SEO Tools have been the first thing to do every morning. For my business - PureVPN, I have been using many tools for SEO but my favorite one will always be Ahrefs because it has a complete package from finding trending topics, keyword research, rank tracker or backlinks comparison, you name it everything’s there. It not only supports Google search engine but also supports many search engines such as; Amazon, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, etc.

Advantages of Ahrefs:

·    You can generate millions of keyword ideas for Ahrefs and also it helps in making secondary keyword combination with primary keywords showing the keyword traffic aswelland keyword difficulty.

·    It also helped me in finding trending topics regarding my persona, which increased conversions.

·    You Can also audit backlinks of your competitors which can help in making strategy.

·    Traffic Estimation is also an amazing part of Ahrefs for analysis.

·    AnalyzingCompetitors move can help increase ranking, which is also in Ahrefs.

·    Tracking Organic Keywords

Disadvantages of Ahrefs:

·    Keyword ranking is not up to date and also not matching with the ranking on the google search engine. They need to work on updating daily bases keyword ranking.

Review Summary

For my SEO consultancy - Matt Tutt Digital Marketing, I've been using Ahrefs. In my opinion not only is their backlink database much more comprehensive and accurate, allowing for much more insightful analysis, but they have some great keyword content analysis tools and other cool features.

Ahrefs is now my SEO tool of choice in 2020. It's got a huge amount of backlink information accessible, making it perfect for competitive SEO analysis and for finding new backlink opportunities. It also has inbuilt SEO audits so you can automate a basic audit of a site on a regular basis, and they've got some great keyword and content research tools. For me, because of the additional backlink info from their database, I prefer this tool.

Downsides of Ahrefs would probably be that compared to other software, some of the tools may not be so intuitive to use, and the reports you can create aren't as customizable. Ahref's SEO audits, for example, are quite bland.

Review Summary

I've been personally using Ahrefs for the past 4 years for my company - DeTorres Group and love the tool. They have made some really nice improvements to both the functionality and the data backing up what you see associated with your campaigns. Recently, they also added some additional features related to keyword rank tracking that add a lot of value to SEOs like myself.

Pros: The backlink profile granularity in which you can obtain for the researched URL. I also like comparing URLs to each other in the tool to see why Google may favor one over the other.

Cons: I wish they had white-label, good looking reports that you could send to yourself or clients.

Overall: I use Ahrefs daily and in conjunction with other tools you're able to get a big picture of every possible angle of a website's SEO opportunities.

Review Summary

Ahrefs - Ahrefs is a traffic and web page analysis tool with solutions for competitive analysis, keyword research, backlink research, content research, rank trafficking, and web monitoring. This tool is great because it tracks your data while comparing it to leading industry competitors. On top of its practical uses, Ahrefs helps teach its users how best to leverage their tools as well as apply its data. As an SEO and Content Writer at Cape & Bay Marketing, I found that it tracks data and offers a lot of competitive analysis options. However, it’s training tools are more in-depth. Ahrefs has actual training courses. Ahrefs courses are more to give you an understanding of its capabilities, giving you the tools needed to then create your own campaigns and strategies.

As a Managing General Partner of Sustainable 9, I found Ahrefs to be a great tool. It really stands out once you start using it. Its backend works super well, and their keyword research tool is second to none. I have found the keyword research I do with Ahrefs to be much more accurate, which improves my overall digital marketing. I would say the only con is the learning curve.

Review Summary

Pros: Intuitive interface, tons of training videos, various price points

Cons: Doesn’t have some of the alerts that I received when testing out Moz, such as missing title tags, duplicate H1s, etc. These are fairly easy SEO best practices, but sometimes it’s nice to have a tool to help with some of the checklist work. Ranking keywords and traffic over time is also not always the most intuitive experience.

Overall experience: Our team at Clean Origin really loves Ahrefs because of the large number of SEO tools. From the keyword explorer to the rank tracker, there are endless ways to analyze your site’s SEO, keep up-to-date with your competition, and add valuable content to your site.

As a Co-Founder of Theotherstraw, I found Ahrefs as a great tool as their keyword data is really good and their backlink tools are out of this world. Also, Ahrefs user interface is very user friendly and makes it very easy to get to all the data that you need in a matter of seconds.

Review Summary

Ahrefs is so clearly the market leader in SEO software at this point that an SEO agency like ours - Pathfinder Alliance, has no credibility if it's not in their toolkit. Their USP is the size of their index. It dwarfs their competitors and this has been verified by a number of independent tests. Because they crawl more pages and find more links than their competitors, they can provide more data to SEO professionals. Overall though, the fact that Ahrefs has the far larger index means that it wins hands down. They've also done a great job at bolting on extra functionality over time - their site audit tool is a great alternative to DeepCrawl, content explorer has a lot of the functionality of Buzzsumo and their rank tracker is now one of the best on the market.

Review Summary

I've been using Ahrefs as my main SEO software at Cashcow for over a year now and I find it to be the best all-round tool available.

Pros - You can get insights into both on-page and off-page SEO, for both your own websites and any competitors. Ahrefs includes a Site Audit feature which you can run to determine any errors or faults with your site. You can do in-depth content analysis - with keyword search volume, content gap analysis, content explorer and many other tools.

Cons - As Ahrefs is built to encompass as much of SEO as possible, it's not the best tool if you want everything in real-time. For example, you can inspect a specific URL of your site and it will tell you where it's ranking in Google and what position. However, this is updated periodically, so there are better tools for tracking rankings specifically.

On the whole, though, Ahrefs gives you more than almost any other tool - and I would definitely select it as the most important SEO software for me.

Review Summary

Pros of Ahrefs:

  • Backlink tracking: Unlike other backlink checkers Ahrefs scans for new backlinks on a domain in every 15 minutes and can send you alerts on the new backlinks the website gains.
  • Competitor analysis: When it comes to SEO studying your competition is a big factor and Ahrefs plays a vital role in making this complicated process a lot easier, as it provides accurate information on competitors ranking keywords, most popular pages, referring domains & the overall domain & URL rating.
  • Keyword Research: We all know the importance of keyword research as this allows webmasters to ensure that their SEO efforts are focused on the highly relevant keywords and if you have Ahrefs in your toolbox then you can get a list of most relevant keywords for your niche.

Cons of Ahrefs:

  • Price: Ahrefs is not a cheap SEO tool as many SEO agencies like ours pay $999 per month to track more than 10000 keywords and allow 5 users to use the tool whereas individuals pay $99 or $139 per month depending on their requirements and few mid-sized agencies pay around $399 per month.
  • Graph Export: Sometimes SEOs have to email reports to clients and they would like to show analysis graphs to the client and this would be one of the biggest cons for Ahrefs as it does not allow graphs to be exported.
  • Google Analytics Sync: When you are working on a project you tend to use Google analytics data quite often and would always like to sync it with your SEO tool and compare the performance with the overall information however this is not possible with Ahrefs.

Overall Experience: Ahrefs is the most powerful SEO tool out there and after testing the top SEO tools Egochi Inc. decided to stick with Ahrefs due to its strong ability to provide accurate data. So far, we have not been able to find a better tool than Ahrefs and till then we are an Ahrefs customer.
