BlueJeans

The Seriously Smoked team uses BlueJeans as our primary web conferencing software! I’ll discuss the reason for the score with the pros and cons below. Pros Meeting schedules automatically syncs with the chosen calendar app. The automatic sync to your calendar helps keep your schedule organized without any effort.  BlueJeans allows the silent entry of late participants. For other web conferencing software, there are disturbing indicators like sounds or pop-ups that inform everybody that new participants joined. Users have the option to remove such notification, which helps ensure that meetings don’t get disturbed.  BlueJeans has an automated recording function. Recorded meetings are critical and can be used in the future as an official reference or sent to absentees for feedback.  A screen sharing function is available. Presenters have the option to share their screen with everybody, which helps participants visualize the agenda using text, figures, tables, and other figures.  Cons BlueJeans has no chat feature. The lack of chat features in BlueJeans is a big turn-off. However, it is not a significant deterrent that can stop users from using it.. Its remaining features are still more functional than other web conferencing software we tried.    

At Select Software Reviews , We've been using BlueJeans as our web conferencing software. The video quality is great. We found that as more and more meetings were happening digitally, the video quality was starting to dip with some solutions. But, BlueJeans has been top-notch. There's been very little slow down and we haven't noticed a drop in quality. It also offers really good recording and sharing capabilities. Being able to store the video in the cloud and share via a link has been really helpful for our team as we share information. What's really nice is that you can set up various levels of security, so that only people who have been granted access can see it. It can also be posted openly to allow outside contractors to see videos without having to get an account or login.   The only con is that it is a little on the pricey side, but  for the quality they provide, it's worth it.

It got too difficult to change a single event in a series, and often resulted in missed communication for when meetings were happening. Ultimately, we had to change video conferencing platforms.

We have multiple offices in multiple cities and BlueJeans enabled our weekly meetings. Worked well for several years.

We get recurring positive feedback from all meeting participants that use Blue Jeans that it is much better than the platform their companies use. They are impressed with how easy it is to connect.

We used BlueJeans across the whole organization, both for internal calls and external calls with clients. The most helpful thing is that you can even take calls from your cellphone with a quick dial, no need to be on a computer or in front of a screen.

BlueJeans provides great functionality and is conveniently integrated into tools like MS Outlook. The sound quality is great along with the video. The acquisition of BlueJeans by Verizon is the perfect move and shows that how much hard work BlueJeans has put in. Would recommend it to anyone using Skype, WhatsApp or any other video conferencing tools.

While the world seems to be moving to zoom, I prefer blue Jeans as it is nowhere near resource intensive. Solid meeting software definitely recommend.

BlueJeans is the platform licensed by my university, and I have been using it for a little over a year for meetings. With the pandemic causing us to immediately transition to remote learning, of course, BlueJeans is the tool that we must use to deliver content to our students. Overall, I love BlueJeans because it's easy to schedule a session, the connection is always good, and I like that I can record the sessions. It is great for asynchronous delivery. However, where I would love to see some improvement is in the ability to deliver synchronous content to my students. The breakout rooms, for instance, are not reliable, and there are no features like raising hand. For me BlackBoard Collaborate is a more robust tool for synchronous delivery. But again, I do like BlueJeans, and I've been told that some improvements are in the pipeline, so I'll wait and see.

We are using bluejeans three or more times per week currently and have used it prior to the pandemic. It has been invaluable to completing our semester.
