Work orders are generated from Work Requests, triggered from Planned, Preventive or Predictive Maintenance, and manually or automatically created. They represent the who, what, why, where and when of the work order tasks. Armed with instructions, guides, lists and photos, the work order task provides the maintenance engineer all the information they need. Provision is then made for the engineer to provide all the feedback necessary during and after the task is completed. Work Orders containing all the information needed to complete every task, are created from Preventive Maintenance Tasks, from Work Requests or manually as required. Work orders can be classified in many ways, typically because of reporting requirements.
