Please introduce your product and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Health information systems (HIS) are computer-based systems that are used to manage and store electronic health records (EHRs) and other types of health-related data. HIS can be used to track patient medical histories, record treatments, and procedures, manage appointments and schedules, and support clinical decision-making by providing access to relevant patient information. In addition, HIS can also be used to support public health initiatives by providing a centralized repository of population-level data that can be used for surveillance, analysis,  and research.

As Medikus CEO, it is my responsibility to lead and manage the organization. This includes setting the overall direction and strategy of the organization, making major decisions and establishing policies, ensuring that the organization has the resources it needs to achieve its goals, and overseeing the financial performance of the organization. But more importantly,  I’m responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as employees, customers, and partners, and communicating with the board of directors and other senior executives.
What was the objective behind coming up with this software?
The main objective behind the development of HIS was to support the digitalization in the health industry in Spain, by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery by providing a means to collect, store, and retrieve health-related data in a structured and standardized way in order to facilitate the work done by health professionals so they can deliver a quality service to the patients.
How is your software beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other software alternatives available in the market?
There are many good options in the market, but we focus on what is important for clients, their specific needs and requirements, and we assess the features and capabilities of different software alternatives to determine which one is the most suitable for their needs. Consulting, support, and maintenance, better, and easy-to-handle visual interface, great performance, and scalability.
What industries do you generally cater to? Which industries in general are highly benefiting by using your software?
Our focus is direct to any health institution, being a Hospital, Residences of any kind (elderly, mental, or disability), and even dental health facilities.
What are the key features of your software that makes it stand apart from your competitor products in the market?
Adaptability, scalability, Support, and Maintenance, modular, and our consulting service and, if have to name a module that would be the Geroculture module.
What is the customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
Our average customer satisfaction is high even considering the change resistance of a person. To cater to customer needs and requirements, we take a variety of steps, such as gathering customer feedback and using it to improve products or services, offering personalized service and support, and providing options for customizing products or services to meet the specific needs of individual customers.
Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what is the percentage of repeat customers that you have?
No, our clients are long-term projects relationship.
Does your software product provide any resource or knowledge section for its users? If yes, what kind of material is provided to your users to help them get acquainted with your product?
During our software development projects, we create Confluence material that our clients may consult and review for each section.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
For support activities we work with Jira, our clients can create tickets to be checked and solved by our team specialist.
What has been the revenue for your product for 2022?
500K Euros.
Where do you see your product in the next 10 years?
We have two goals. To implement our HIS tailored to big health institutions across the country. And also develop a SaaS version to be serving half or more of the small residences companies.
