Review Summary

Moz helps you to target the keywords and phrases. Moz Pro removes SEO sophistication. Moz is the data source that provides Zestard Technologies real insights into connection equity. There is nothing on the market like Domain Authority metrics and the MozRank.

Moz is also utilized to understand which keywords have been used and what queries are being asked might help you create high-quality content.

Moz's Keyword Explorer makes complex analysis simple so that we can spend less time in spreadsheets and much more time creating website traffic and neatly ties together study metrics.

With Moz Pro, you can track your competition too. You need to follow how you are ranking for keywords to understand what's working.

Pros:

• Very intuitive and approachable design, even for those with minimal SEO experience.

• Great rank competitive and monitoring analysis reports.

• The keyword finder tools are phenomenal, and the part of this tool. When it works, the website crawler can be helpful.

• Grouping keywords into campaigns to track as a group.

• Extensive Resources and earning guides Moz users gain access to tons of tools from tutorials and guides on community forums and workshops, webinars packaged from SEO professionals with articles.

Cons:

The pricing of the tool. You need to pay $99 a month for the Moz Pro accounts. If you understand the worthiness of Moz tools, it's not a big deal. There are hundreds, and hundreds of marketers and SEO fans currently using Moz tools to grow their earnings and assist their customers in improving their SEO.

Moz’s Keyword analysis tool and link analysis are both excellent and thorough. The site crawl function has also been instrumental in helping us identify and clean up website problems. Moz’s Keyword explorer is also incredible. Building campaigns and exploring areas where you can be successful is straightforward and really helps create a vision for future SEO plans.

Review Summary

Overall I think Moz is an effective and easy to use tool that I would recommend to marketers, especially those who are relatively new to online marketing and need an accurate SEO/SEM tool that doesn’t suffer from feature-creep.

Pros:

For me the biggest advantage of Moz is its UX. The Home dashboard layout is clean and easy to understand, the tools are all straightforward and easy to use. As for the tools themselves, they’re quite powerful and provide accurate, actionable data on your own site, your competitors and keywords that you should target. After just a few months using Moz, I was able to improve the performance of Irreverent Gent and gain an edge over my competitors.

Cons:

While the tools that Moz offers are effective and easy to use, there are not as many features as there are in some of Moz’s competitors. As mentioned, this isn’t really a problem for beginners, but as you become more experienced and want to do more sophisticated research, you may find Moz somewhat limited.

Conclusion:

I rated Moz as a 3/5 because the tools and features it offers are clean, effective and work quite well—I just wish there were more of them!

Crawling and auditing a site becomes easy

Review Summary

Pros:

My favourite part of using Moz was how easy it was to access a site’s SEO data. Metrics can be accessed instantly which makes it simple and easy to analyse a website. Crawling and auditing a site is easy because of this too.

Moz is also one of the best recognised SEO tools on the market, so data holds more authority when it’s shared with other departments in the company if it comes from Moz.

This makes easier for the team at It Works Media Ltd to justify why certain decisions are being made.

Cons:

The main issues I’ve had come from using the DA checker. The free version only permits you to check the DA of 3 URLs per day, which isn’t nearly enough for someone who works in SEO. Paying for the full version isn’t necessarily worthwhile either,as there are a numberof reliable, free alternatives available which don’t limit your usage. I’ve also had problems with the MozBar Chrome extension, which often didn’t load correctly.

Review Summary

I really enjoy the Keyword Explorer functionality. It helps us make informed decisions on which keywords to include in blog posts, etc. as opposed to relying on our intuition. I've seen better iterations of Moz's Open Site Explorer. It's definitely not bad, but our site has a lot of secure links that Moz can't really analyze.

Review Summary

Moz Pro is a kind of software that provided me with all kind of SEO tools which I was in need of. The campaign tracking is excellent, as it allows you to keep track of a range of keyword metrics and also monitors the site for errors. I am having to complain about things as it is bit clunky and slow to navigate.

Review Summary

It does so much more than suggest and rank keywords for you. It performs site crawls and outlines any errors your site may have. It tracks site traffic, compares your rankings to your competitors, records backlinks, and lets you run custom reports. It also performs page optimization, giving you tips on how to improve your web pages so that they rank higher in the search results. For any users who are new to SEO, there are also tons of training guides and manuals.

KDG has a positive experience of using Moz. The reason we wouldn't give it a 5 out of 5 is that there are sometimes calculation errors and we've noticed the site traffic doesn't always translate correctly from Google Analytics. The pros of the software are definitely the site crawl and page optimization tools. Knowing your ranking is fine, but useless if you don't know how to improve it. Moz gives you tips to do so. The cons to the software are that, since there is so much you can do with it, you have to designate a good amount of time to training.

Review Summary

Pros:

Moz Keyword Explorer is great to find new keyword ideas from competitors, and is comparable with other tools (competing industry standard software). With Moz you can also track competitor position and ranking keywords.

The biggest benefit is the keyword difficulty report, probably best in class compared with competing indsutry tools.

Cons:

Moz's backlink checker tool isn't comparable with other similar players available in the market. Moz is much better at keyword analysis than it is at link analysis.

I like to use other tools along with Moz for conducting detailed SEO website audits and content categorisation tasks.

Overall Experience:

There are definitely much better tools available in the market for specific technical SEO tasks. Usually, though, they are more expensive than Moz. I advise using Moz for on-page SEO (keyword analysis type tasks) and using other tools for technical and off-site work (link building, outreach, crawling etc.). At SEOYates we use other tools for backlinks and technical SEO work, in addition to Moz. All tools complement each other very well.

Review Summary

Pros:

Moz has an arsenal of specialized tools that will help you track your SEO ranking and break into the optimization industry. It helped Maple holistics track keywords, keep a tight ship as far as site authenticity, track links and backlinks, and also helped us choose the best strategies with regard to what kind of content we required.

Cons:

Moz is a little too complicated at times, and that can be overwhelming. It’s also quite expensive, so if you do decide to use it, try to learn how it works before you purchase it.

Review Summary

I have always found the Moz suite of SEO tools to be well built, intuitive and useful however they do have some drawbacks, as do most tools.

One con of Moz software would have to be that much of the data provided looks at well known metrics such as Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) which is (in my opinion and the opinion of many others in the industry) no longer all that useful or up to date. DA and PA metrics can be easily inflated and although there is a spam score offered, does not always give an accurate picture of the power of your domain or competitor domains.

The rank tracker is an excellent addition to the software and something that every SEO will need, no issues at all with this one. When you look at the keyword explorer however you are met with the issues of relying on DA and PA metrics. If you don’t think that these metrics are that useful for determining a websites power, then the levels of competition reported could be seen as less accurate also. At Reboot we use other well-known tools to analyse levels of competition and competitor backlink profiles. I have however, always found the search volume reports in the Moz keyword explorer to be accurate and the filtering options are always useful.

The site audit, crawl and on-page optimisation features found in the Moz toolbox are useful. The scheduled reports and intuitive design makes doing a quick and basic audit of a site easier but as with any tool used for this, it is important to be able to distinguish between real errors and things reported as issues that have been set up or ignored intentionally.

A nice set of tools to have and very effective (especially when partnered with data from other tools/platforms as is the case with all SEO tools).

Review Summary

Pros

• Great rank tracking and competitive analysis.

• Swiss army knife for SEO

• The variety and usefulness of tools

Cons

• Expensive for the base package. If you want the other modules you have to pay extra for each.

• Bit clunky and slow to navigate.

• It doesn't discover as many links as some of the other SEO tools that I have used.

• As of lately, Moz hasn't been too great at keeping up with the industry. SEO changes at a crazy pace, Moz could do a better job of updating and improving tools accordingly.

Overall

Removing the unlimited basic site explorer is a bit of a bad move and it screams of putting profit over user experience. You can now only do 10 searches a month, and for people who are link building and prospecting, that is nowhere near enough. Especially if paying for other software and can’t stretch to paying for Moz as well.

According to team at Traffic Jam Media , Moz hasn't been too great at keeping up with the industry. SEO changes at a crazy pace, Moz could do a better job of updating and improving tools accordingly.
