Moz Pro

My overall experience of using Moz in a marketing agency is that it is an excellent and very cost-effective software package that provides a great range of SEO tools. The campaign tracking is excellent, as it allows you to keep track of a range of keyword metrics, and also monitors the site for errors.

The other tools are also very useful - the Keyword Explorer offers decent keyword research possibilities - though we've found that as a UK-Based agency, the keyword data isn't all that good for non-US locations.

The Link Explorer, On-Page Grader and On-Demand Crawler all offer additional value, though their use is more situation, depending on the SEO goals of your client and what you need to monitor.

When Klood Digital needed support, we have always found the Moz team to be helpful and quick to respond, providing an excellent level of services.

I have used Moz at G2 Crowd for extended periods of time while trying to vet different SEO Software for our team. It has a decent selection of SEO tools and extremely helpful content on the website. For link building SEO specifically, other industry options offer much more robust platforms that give our SEO team the tools necessary for link building outreach and success.

I love using the free Moz Chrome extension to research the competitiveness of specific keywords for Accelerated Growth Marketing. It is free and has amazing functionality. The only bad part is it really slows down your browser and often causes me to need to restart mine.

I found that Moz Pro’s backlink crawler was not nearly as good as other such service providers in the market. With other providers, we are able to find a lot more backlinks than Moz on average. I also preferred its competitor's keyword tool to that of Moz’s, because it seemed to provide more accurate, up-to-date results on the keywords a given website was ranking highly for.

Pros:

According to Grafted-In LLC,  Moz is a beast when it comes to SEO info. They continue to adapt and roll out new tools and new features of existing tools that make them a leader in the SEO industry. 

Cons:

One of the cons of Moz is that they for years were seen as an echo chamber for what Google was already saying. SEO pros often avoided their tools for that reason. But to their own dissatisfaction, Moz has continually put out fantastic tools that help the industry as a whole and raise the bar in the SEO community. 

Reliance Foundry uses a variety of SEO programs and Moz sits on the top of our list as our best-loved tool. Their keyword explorer, allowing us to ask what questions are being googled in our field, helps us accurately learn what questions people are seeking answers to. We are able to focus our message with this information. The functions of the upgraded Link Explorer, including those allowing us to compare link profiles, teach us understand how other companies in our space are targeting their campaigns. Site grading and page optimization show us what search engines are seeing of our site. Not only is Moz software an SEO multi-tool, but the community and content are too—whether it is conferences, blog posts, or Whiteboard Fridays. There's a lot on Moz to explore. 

Evoke Strategy LLC believes that they have a huge community of active SEO experts, tons of free resources, great local SEO tools, and a really solid platform for more experienced internal or agency search managers. 

Team at Lawnlove believes that Moz started off as a great solution for digital marketers. It was a well-rounded tool that offered a vast amount of guidance and input for the industry. It also played a key role in solidifying the concept of 'Domain Authority'. Moz came out with a lot of great features, such as including the on-page keyword density analyzer, off-page signals, etc. 

However, its value started to fade as other innovators in the space came out with more robust solutions that could better handle the immediate needs of most SEO practitioners. In my opinion, Moz ultimately went into too many different directions. It started to dilute and compromise its product direction/value and ended up being a basic tool for no specific thing.

Pros:

Moreover, if you don’t want to get charged because you are not convinced with the software’s function or just need a free Moz features, you can cancel any time within the free trial while enjoying the premium access for the rest of the 30-day trial. I highly recommend you capitalize the free trial to accurately experience the tool’s key features. 

One of the highlights of Moz is the On-page Grader. It will give you actionable items on what to do with your landing page’s onpage SEO to improve its score.

Recently they’ve also added Link Intersect feature to help find those domains that link to your competitors, but not to you.

Another benefit of using Moz is the free Mozbar extension which gives immediate insights on the page and site you are actively browsing. You can use this tool even with the free version.

Cons:

If your goal is to acquire much backlink data for link building campaigns, Link Discovery will likely have lesser information compared to similar SEO tools in terms of link index and referring domains.

As for the premium features vs. pricing, the standard $99 also have limited premium features compared to other $99/month SEO tools out there. 

Overall Experience:

Moz’s metrics were seen as closest to Google PageRank for grading pages in the web. So when Google phased it out, the SEO community followed Moz’s DA (domain authority) and PA (page authority) metrics to benchmark websites and webpages’ authority. This made SEMBLITZ use Moz Pro and the tool served as a valuable arsenal for SEO when doing competitive analysis and keyword/content discovery. It also did a great job helping me get started with tracking SEO performance as well as shaping my SEO strategies. With Moz’s insights, we had better direction for our SEM campaigns

I'm an SEO specialist. I've used Moz's free version of their software for about 10 years. I had subscribed to their paid version in the past, but for what my team at Business Growth Digital Marketing and I needed, the free version sufficed. 

The software is good depending on what you want to achieve with the software. For link analysis, it is helpful. However, other similar tools available in the market seem to share more insightful data for SEOs. 

For those that need to do a quick SEO analysis, then it is worth using Moz. I would recommend it as a part of an SEO suite, but as one of the 'nice to haves'. 

Although, their Domain Authority toolbar is definitely a must-have in the SEO industry. 

We use Moz extensively as a backend tool for Digital Darts’ SEO services. The toolbar is by far our favourite product (and the basic version is free!) as it allows us to see the value of a website straight up based on Moz's highly respected metrics. Furtherrmore, it's really helpful being able to extract data from competitor's websites like title & meta descriptions & keywords at the click of a button from this toolbar as well. While SEO metrics (like DA & PA in the case of Moz) can vary a lot & aren't always 100% accurate (but what can be when operating in a Google environment), we've found Moz to be one of the most trustworthy & accurate in the field. But we do use it in conjunction with some other SEO tools for this reason.

Overall: 
Generally speaking, www.moz.com is amongst the main leaders and rival contenders in the space of SEO Tools.

SEO Agency TopRankings has a great level of respect for Moz and especially for the thought leadership content contributions made to the SEO industry over so many years. 

I have used Moz on and off for 4+ years at SEO by Blake Smith. Previously I had found their link graph to unreliable compared to other SEO software, but it seems to have improved considerably recently.

The new Link Explorer is a significant upgrade to the Open Site Explorer (OSE) tool and has "35x more link data", which is believable considering how far behind OSE was compared to other tools.

I also find their "Metrics Over Time" reports useful to track how DA, PA, and Linking Domains numbers change over the last year or more

The improvement in their Link Explorer tool has led to me utilising the Mozbar extension, which is useful to quickly evaluate the Domain Authority of a site and its value form an SEO perspective. I would highly recommend this tool to any SEO inclined user.

Follower wonk has always been a favourite of mine, and is great for outreach (particularly in the B2B space) and is a bonus for Twitter marketers as it can find some hidden gems for opportunities on Twitter Ads

The UX of the entire software suite has also seen an upgrade and personally I'm a fan.

Overall I would say Moz offers a great SEO software. I don't consider it an indispensible part of my SEO software suite at the moment, but recent improvements have resulted in me utilising it more and more - so they're headed in the right direction.

Overall Experience: 

As far as SEO tools go, this is the most visually pleasing and intuitive which is a bonus for beginner users. It's 100% SEO focus means that you don't get lost in unnecessary data. Yellow Door Digital has always found their customer service to be excellent and highly responsive. 

Pros:

Visually pleasing dashboard, intuitive design. There Keyword explorer is the best I've used and the MOZ bar is a great easy access go to tool for site links and domain authority. 

Cons:

Basic plan too limiting with keyword queries per month. Inaccurate data at times. Need to use regularly in the month to utilise value.
