Awesome accounting software for my business. It's quick and easy to create invoices and expenses. Help us with lots of customizations. Creating estimates and business bookkeeping on this software is very easy and hassle-free. This software is available on a mobile device. Its application and all available features are fantastic. Please introduce your product and give a brief about your role within the organization.
myBooks accounting software is cost-effective and time-saving Bookkeeping app for SMEs. I am the lead product owner of myBooks involved in overseeing product development. Additionally, I oversee the customer acquisition and engagement for myBooks.
What was the objective behind coming up with this software?
We wanted to create an integrated financial engine for small business owners, which can take care of regular bookkeeping, Sales, HR. So business owners can see the big picture without simulating all the possible scenarios on their heads.
How is your software beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other software alternatives available in the market?
We found out the existing products were expensive and time-consuming to operate for a busy small business owner with fewer resources. We wanted to create an app that will be quick to maintain books, also simple, and cost-effective.
What industries do you generally cater to? Which industries in general are highly benefiting by using your software?
Our app is industry agnostic. However, currently, manufacturing and product-based companies are primarily using the app.
What are the key features of your software that makes it stand apart from your competitor products in the market?
We have in-built profit management features, which show the profit incurred on each sale, to avoid selling on loss. Further, we have simplified financial journals to simple business transactions which are very easy to use for a business owner who doesn’t understand the credit/debits of double-entry accounting.
What is the customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
Currently, we are 80%, We regularly listen to users and align our new feature development according to the customer requirement.
Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what is the percentage of repeat customers that you have?
Yes, our model is subscription-based, we depend on recurring revenue per customer. Our renewal rate is at 75% currently.
Does your software product provide any resource or knowledge section for its users? If yes, what kind of material is provided to your users to help them get acquainted with your product?
We have a support portal with a knowledge base and how-to videos.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
We offer In-app chat support and also support through other channels like Email and Phone.
What has been the revenue for your product for 2020?
Our revenue was around $10,000 in 2020 since we were giving free subscriptions for a lot of initial users.
Where do you see your product in the next 10 years?
We want to position our product as the leader in accounting software in terms of ease of use, cost-effectiveness, and mobility.
