Review Summary

New Relic helps us monitor our servers' performance. We use it mainly in 2 ways. One is by defining automatic alerts based on KPIs and stats gathered on each server, then the alerts are sent via email and also to 3rd-party apps (like Slack for example). Two is by manually going into New Relic's dashboards for real-time debugging when problems are found (going through our logs, which arrive from all of our servers). The main problem is the UX and "over-complexity" this app is designed by - it makes day-to-day tasks more difficult than previous software I used to work with. Another issue - we invested a lot of time in customizing our logs and New Relic in order for it to work smoothly. This could have been an easier process.
