We Myth Digital use Rewind. Using server backup software is an essential part of a package when offering a digital service to clients. It gives them and us the peace of mind that their data is secure, reduces the chances or length of downtime, and removes the risk of missing back-ups due to automation. As a business, we rely on Rewind for our data back-ups. The third-party app allows us to safely store all the data from our e-commerce sites, project management tools, and finances. (Shopify, Jira, Quickbooks, and Trello.) Our agency was founded back in 2015, which was when Rewind also launched. We have used their services for nearly 8 years, and so they are a trusted supplier. We utilize their real-time backups as well as automated daily backups. This means we know we reduce the risk of losing recent internal work as well as our customers' details and orders. We also know that if we need to restore sites or files, we will have extremely recent dates and time points to return to.

What do you like the most about Rewind?
By investing in a backup software it can prevent major data losses or downtime, removing the chance of loss of business or penalty fines. In a digital world it’s important to be able to connect and link multiple platforms, software and systems through to the safe data backup programme. Luckily with Rewind we find this can access all the tools we need to create a seamless data backup. Having a third-party software to back up data gives the added comfort of external support - as and when we need additional help and assistance we know we can contact Rewind and receive the extra information we need.
What do you like the least about Rewind?
Although also a positive, the cost of using a third party server back up software can be quite eye watering. For our business this is around £500 per month which isn’t cheap, however we do now make sure we budget and cost projects accordingly to ensure we don’t have any regrets in the future. Server back-up software is automated, this is one of the most useful features however, it can mean we take our eye off the ball manually and can assume all is working smoothly. We prefer to ensure someone is manually checking the data has been pulled through correctly, just in case there was ever a glitch. We still feel we need to have ownership of the data backup and can fulfill the commitment to our clients that their server data is secure.
