Aggressive - SEO - SMO Trends 2016

Synopsis:

Life comes to a standstill without social media and a Smartphone today. Sensex, Business houses, the Corporate world, Health Industry, the travel industry, the food industry, educational institutions and the service industry are highly dependent on these social media tools (Apps and social media platforms).

The Internet has deeply penetrated every aspect of human existence. Although this is a highly saturated topic for any debate or write-up, it still needs to be addressed. Why? It is subject to numerous frequent improvisations and innovations. I am going to touch on some important effective social media features which rule the business world in 2016.

SMO:

Social Media Optimization aims at expanding G+ popularity. Google is constantly improving and re-innovating varied, interesting features. One to mention is a special feature that only views counters. This feature shows the total number of views on your profile, posts and photos. It helps to let you know how many times your profile has been viewed or visited by people in your network. But totally ignore Google plus.

In the present fierce competitive die hard market, Google+ has a very significant role in social media. It can either rank or crack a business. This was already in action with Twitter as a part of boosting activities on their popular platform(launching the number of views on tweets), which was very successfully experimented and now with Google+ (view spawning on profiles, posts or photos).

One of my friends recently ventured into opening a haunt-couture store in Stuttgart (southwestern part of Germany-Bronnie-Fran-ken). I was a total novice to social media marketing. Her vintage boutique was located in a very prime and posh location in Stuttgart but could not manage to draw enough revenue to sustain even the daily nitty-gritty expenses like managing manpower etc. She was almost in the merge of closing down the boutique. Incidentally, she happened to talk to me on the pretext of visiting London for a vacation. Maybe to De-stress or look for an opportunity to open a boutique here as she can rely on me.

I suggested that she should change with time and adopt social media marketing campaigns to extensively garner huge market awareness and networking across the whole of Germany. High fashion is extremely competitive and asks for the right marketing strategies. I introduced her to a very competent and highly reputed social media expert who runs his own web designing studio exclusively for high fashion designers, models, celebrities etc. 

Believe me. He has done such a fabulous job with her website that she almost has stopped visiting her boutique and takes orders online at her luxurious cozy mansion. The boutique is turned into a workshop with a sample display.

Angelika today is so popular in Stuttgart that she posts only one blog a week. Links them to various social media pages viz. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Tumblr, and importantly Google Plus. She is being labeled as the “Social Networking Queen butterfly” in the whole of Stuttgart. Amongst all these, Google Plus has given her an enormous business ranking and saved her from business crack to business rank!

Google plus:

It is receiving and is subject to immense popularity on the Global front. It is engaging and indulging everyone to discuss and talk about it as one of the most powerful and useful online marketing techniques.

SEO Search Engine Optimization:

It is the heart of social media marketing. Right SEO strategies by consultants have gone a long way in helping small startups achieve voluminous success. (Helped Angelika in her fashion boutique in a very big way).

Guesswork which was otherwise prevalent in SEO, has now been replaced by strategic planning focusing on site architecture, web matrix and social matrix as one. It is important that one should not simply take SEO blindly without proper planning. SEO planning is a lot of hard work. Many online business owners are most of the time ignorant about the numerous problems that exist on their sites.

If the motive is only to get more hits and acquisitions, then one must opt for PPC and later on get working on what keywords get into conversions. Eventually, then look for SEO. However, before opting for SEO, it is very crucial to have a plan (which is hard work) as most of the time, people are not aware of the numerous problems they face on their own sites. It is essential, therefore, to be perfect about page optimization + site architecture +page speed before going for PPC Pay per click Marketing (SEM). 

Detect relevant keywords, keywords that lead to conversions, and track the ones you end up paying a lot. This makes it easier to plan an SEO campaign in line with these keywords. SMO drives conversions. Working on search and social together helps in achieving great results. Since social matrix every day plays a bigger role in SEO, without SMO, you cannot succeed with SEO individually. If the SEO is not done properly, it can ruin the website in a big way.

Many times people make the mistake of hiring outside help to create backlinks, who consequently buy backlinks from all over the globe. This is very dangerous as it will throw the TDL distribution out and have you run in a back direction along with your SEO managers showing short lived results. Hence building good websites is very essential. The technology at the back of site architecture will start making a big difference and will continue till the end of 2016.
