CDN Solutions Group is an IT Outsourcing company with expertise on mobility, enterprise applications, data modeling, business logic, UI/UE, augmented reality, B2B/B2C solutions, E-Commerce, Internet of Things. It has come a long way from being a start-up to becoming a 100% Export-Oriented Offshore Software Development Center. Our experience, expertise, and portfolio have continued to enrich along the way. Our team currently stands with as many as 270 exclusive Niche Techies, who follow the motto “Consistently delivering quality solutions”, can boast of more than 2200+ projects, covers gamut of technologies, solutions, and industry verticals. I am the founder and Chief Technical Officer of CDN Sofware Solutions.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
CDN Solutions Group was founded in 2000 with the identical vision to make it a one-stop-shop for IT Services. I and Mr. Surajit, Co-Founder and Managing Partners of CDN solutions Group are currently serving the organization as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) respectively. Both of us started the venture from our study room and slowly and gradually reached the pinnacle of success. I, (an MBA in Marketing and Advance Diploma in Multimedia Qualified) and Mr. Surajit Mitra (B.E in Industrial Production) initiated the company with the collaboration of mere 4 people. We left our job to devote complete time to the organization’s growth and got full support from our families.
In the preliminary phase of the company, I used to design 3D models of buildings for the Architects and its global delivery capabilities have serviced more than 1000 brands and businesses encompassing all sizes (Start-ups, SMEs, and Enterprises) across industries from around the world. We have created a legacy of innovations and brand loyalists through built-for-success, cutting-edge mobile applications. To provide our clients with the high-cost efficiency we follow an offshore development client engagement model as well as fixed bid model.
What are your company’s business model–in-house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We work on an offshore development model. All the projects/development are being monitored under able supervisión of our Solution Architects/ Project Managers which are our own employees, who work from our premises.

The time may vary based upon the scope of the project and the process. A smaller app will take abbreviated time compared to a bigger app. Although there are some major parameters like Application Platform (Native or Cross), Features, Hardware Integration, Business Logic, Multilingual, Payment Gateway Integrations, Third Party Tools Integration, and a number of resources allocated. It depends on the kind of app and features that is to be implemented. However, Back-end takes much time as compared to the front end. For Example, The proportion of Front End Development & Back End Development for Client-server App is 40:60 & Offline App is 40: 60 of total time.

Key parameters that should be considered before selecting the right platform for apps are the solution that business need, Client's feature requirements, Security, Client preference of technology to be used and after that the client budget.
Which platform do you suggest your clients begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
This depends upon the requirement and nature of the project. We recommend the platform that the business requires. The most important part of suggesting platform is to the understand target user and demographics the app is made for. For example, we recommend the native platform for high-end user experience and are more transactional in nature, We recommend Cross Platform for simpler apps.

Again, it depends on the solutions and client requirement. We understand the business plans and strategize the development before discussing the possible solution. Our perfect plan is based on user experience, performance, feature lists, development timeline, and budget.

The cost of mobile application depends on the app complexity, functionality, third-party integration, resource level (experience & expertise), project management & communication, post-deployment support along with geographic location, features, custom elements. All these factors when combined influence the cost of mobile application.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We provide the resource to clients on hire basis. Today the concept of virtual employees has increased tremendously. The term virtual employees represent project team members in different geographical locations. CDN Solutions add values to the project by following fixed processes and on-demand communication protocol. The offshore model of CDN Solutions Group ensures the seamless working and on time delivery. There are different types of on hire models that CDN Solutions Group provides:
1)Monthly hire:
We offer resource services on monthly hire basis. Here the client hires a resource for a particular number of months at a fixed payment per month and utilizes the resource as per his/ her wish. The commitment from CDN Solutions Group for a resource would vary range from 160-180 hours as per the client's requirement.
2)Hourly Hire:
We also offer resources on the hourly basis. This model gives the project manager the freedom to utilize the resource and pay for the hours worked by the resource.
3)Fixed cost model:
Here we develop a set of project development model. The process starts with understanding the need or client's requirement to make sure that we are on the same pitch. After that our experienced project manager estimates the time required to develop the software on the basis of which a fixed price is decided.
4)Bucket hour Model:

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We don't believe in the concept of minimum budget criteria but talking about the numbers we are open to starting a project with the minimum billing of 500 hrs. The project that adds value to our portfolio we would always take that on board.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2017?
We cater to all types of client. No client of ours, whatever the size of their project, is any less important to us as long as the project is supported by a robust idea and client’s willingness to see that idea through. We have engaged the client with projects worth couple of thousands of USD to as many as half a million USD built over a long-term association with the same client.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
We have an in-house team of Tech marketers who are experts in App store optimization. We always keep them in charge to recommend client for trending and converting suggestion so that enabling them to generate revenue from their mobile application.
