Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
AICY Create is a value-based, digital marketing agency focusing on the Asian-Pacific market. Our expertise is on Personal Branding and Corporate Branding applied to Social Media.
I am the founder of the agency (2015), and I manage the online planning with the client and the management of marketing campaigns on WeChat and Weibo.
What is the story behind starting this company?
AICY is the first agency in Asia to offer Personal Branding services on Chinese social networks. It is an adventure that started by chance; I was asked to manage some social profiles of some Italian football players working in Asia. it has since become a full time job for me and my 15 Shanghai based employees.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have an in house team of marketers and content creator. I wrote a book about our business model.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
As I previously mention, AICY is the first agency in Asia to offer Personal Branding services on Chinese social networks. but we don't stop there; we have a lot of corporate clients who need digital marketing in China done professionally and at the right price. Compared to our Western and Chinese competitors, we offer a faster service that costs less than the industry average.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
Our customers mainly operate in the following sectors: lifestyle - furniture - fashion - soft industrial - entertainment and sport. We have customers who have been working with us for years, given the results we deliver and the right value for money.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
AICY open and manage Social Media accounts following the business license regulations for China; (WeChat-Weibo-Douyin-Xiaohongshu).
SEO on Baidu; we combine social media management with Search Engine Optimization on Baidu;
We develop Online Marketing Campaigns for the generation of new followers and customers interested in the Brand. These are the service that we are called upon to manage for our customers.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
I would say very high given the high retention we have of our customers. We offer a very numerical and engineering approach to marketing. The contents are important but for us it is much more important to monitor and increase the numbers (social media metrics) that result from a growing engagement of the followers with the brand.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
weekly communication on email and video calls.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
It depends; our clients like to know in advance their investment in marketing so they tend to prefer a Fixed price model.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
despite the instability caused by the covid, AICY is growing organically. New clients, including medium-sized companies, look to the digital ecosystem in China as a concrete scalable business opportunity, and this helps professional agencies like ours to always acquire new customers with winning products and business models that aim for medium-term results.
