Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
I’m a creative director and CEO at CRFT Video. I specialize in storytelling via 2D/3D animation and have been creating animations for international brands, non-profit organizations, production houses, and advertising agencies for 5 years. I had an opportunity to work for IT startups, international publishers, the most famous animation studios, and Fortune 500 companies. At the moment I manage the works of the studio and I’m responsible for big international projects. I’m also the producer of numerous projects of our studio.
What is the story behind starting this company?
The idea to start this business came very many years ago. The first steps in this industry I took as a freelancer with my partner. We quickly realized that the demand for such services was rapidly rising. It was the perfect moment to set up CRFT Video.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We are a full-cycle video production studio. We now have 20+ full-time experts, including illustrators, animators, project managers, a creative director, as well as sales & marketing specialists. If our client needs additional services like Web & Software development, Branding, and Media Planning services - we have a number of vendors whom we can recommend.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
We focus on creating sophisticated animated commercials, premium explainer videos, and animated series for Asian, Australian, American, and European markets. Our main objective is to create top-quality animations whilst maintaining the highest standards with respect to project management and communicating with customers. We always put a strong emphasis both, on a unique design coherent with the brand identity, and sales effectiveness of our videos.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We serve all industries, as all of them require partial support in all digital design areas such as game design, 2D and 3D graphics, sophisticated animation, video editing, and post-production, VR, and AR. Our expertise covers both marketing and full-cycle video production – from raw ideas to publishing. The sectors we typically serve are fintech, insurance, real estate, logistics & transportation. We also have a great number of clients in retail, healthcare, media, government and more.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
We specialize in creating and implementing video content campaigns that work, whether it’s on your website, in an email marketing campaign, or through social media. We make targeted videos that drive sales, signups, and support.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
We have spent a decade perfecting our process so that each project we work on is an enjoyable experience for our clients. Efficient time management, strong creative direction, and excellent customer service all go into the completion of great animated videos. A few words about our process: discovery, script & visual concepts, storyboard & voiceover, animation & sounds design.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We try to be flexible when we’re defining the billing structure for projects. We sign a contract with our clients. We require a 50% deposit upfront, once the video is delivered and the client is happy - the rest amount.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
That’s what most people looking for a video ask. We can’t give you a straight answer simply because our work is all handmade. We must note that creating a custom animated video requires the work of writers, designers, and animators, and quite a few dozens of coffee cups. We offer a variety of video types that caters to different needs, goals, and budget. We are flexible in terms of minimum budget, bottom line would be 3k USD.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
Working with our studio won’t cost you an arm and a leg, but we surely not the cheapest around. Our prices range between 3k USD and 70k USD.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
That's a great question. I see my business growing with outlets all over the world. We have a lot of plans, let's not get so far ahead.
