Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Delante is an international SEO/SEM Agency. Based in Poland, we’re managing SEO processes for clients across the world. We specialize in creating custom-made SEO strategies adjusted to client’s individual business goals and industry specificities. We don’t settle for pre-made solutions – everything must be in alignment with the client’s business and individually optimized for the best results. This approach results in many nominations to international awards our company received throughout the years and in 2020 being among the top 8 global large SEO agencies.
I’m Chief of Growth and a Co-Founder at Delante. My job is to make sure our company keeps up the fast pace of development. I’m directly supervising the work of our company’s Marketing and Sales team. So far, so good – with our constant growth, in 2021 Delante was listed on Financial Times 1000 among the fastest-growing businesses in Europe. After 6 years on the market, we’re super proud to make it!
What is the story behind starting this company?
We founded Delante in 2014, together with Michal Burkiewicz, and Matt Calik (Head of SEO). We all previously had experience in different marketing areas whether it be managing large IT e-commerce, growth hacking, or managing a couple of successful businesses. The spark for creating Delante came from our pure need – operating in our fields we realized there’s no company on the market that would deliver the marketing support we were looking for. That’s how we decided to come up with our own solution to offer businesses a marketing service that meets their requirements: highly effective, communicative, and most importantly understanding their business goals and needs. In the beginning, Delante was offering a vast range of marketing services, but eventually addressing the market needs and our gut – we decided to narrow it down. We stick to our forte – SEO process and keep improving ever since.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
Delante’s SEO process is fully managed internally by our team. Our client outsources the process to our team while keeping control over it. We deeply care about the transparency of cooperation, hence systematically provide detailed reports of the work done, progress and monitor the most important metrics. To increase the efficiency of the processes we came up with a solution of a dedicated SEO specialist – each client gets an SEO expert assigned to the project who manages the process within our team and remains in direct contact with the client, always ready to dispel any doubts and answer questions.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
The first thing that makes us stand out from competitors is definitely the fact that we focus on the SEO process itself. We specialize in search engine optimization which gives us top-notch knowledge and orientation in the industry. Also, we went for a direct and transparent approach to the project. Our clients are assigned an SEO specialist that manages their process, stays in constant touch with them and becomes a contact person for the whole cooperation. This solution is quite innovative in the industry.
With all that, our next main advantage over competitors is above all the individual approach. We really do our best to put ourselves in the clients’ shoes to fully understand what is the driving force behind their business, their business goals, and direction of growth. Only then can we create an SEO strategy that brings the best possible results and support the business in question. We do that while keeping the highest quality of services and providing vast insights into the process itself via detailed reporting and direct communication between the active SEO specialists and the client. That’s something we didn’t notice on the market before that really translates into cooperation effects.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
The biggest share of our clients is e-commences. However, we have major experience in working with both e-commerce and service-based websites. For years now, we have been working with different industries including difficult ones like adult products, CBD, casinos, or medical services. It’s great as this diversity and often limitations in some industries taught us to get creative with the strategy and come up with sometimes unconventional solutions that would later pay off with great results.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
The majority of our clients approach us looking for full SEO strategy and process management. Also, we run a lot of SEO consultations, SEO setups, and SEO audits. However, usually after teaming up with us for one-time service clients come back to us to start the full-time SEO process.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
The feedback we receive from our clients is great. They appreciate our flexibility in terms of the strategy and optimizations that lead to increasing their company’s website performance. We base all reports and consultations on solid data, so they really can see the results of our work.
To address customers’ needs and requirements we approach each cooperation individually. Our team discusses the real expectations our clients have for the process, their business profile, and plans for development – all that is always included in our strategy. We see they appreciate this approach, that’s why our satisfaction rate is so high. Even if there are some difficulties in the course of cooperation, because lets be honest you can't avoid that, we always sit down with our clients and look for the appropriate solution to improve the process. All our cooperations are based on mutual trust and open communication and I think it pays off.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
I wouldn’t call it a system, as we base the cooperation on human-to-human contact. Our clients have their dedicated SEO specialist who manages the process. It’s their contact person, actively working on the project. At any time they can reach out or drop an email and be sure the SEO specialist will answer their questions and address worries or issues. We keep it as direct as possible and try to explain the SEO process elements as approachable and easy to understand as possible, so our clients know what’s going on with their websites.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Our payment system is based on the subscription plan. Each month our clients know what kind of results they can expect and pay for the work done. They stay with us, not because of the contract but because they are satisfied with our work. We prove to be successful every month. Also, the subscription approach supports the constant feedback exchange which I mentioned in the previous question - if something’s not going the way we planned, we’re in touch with the client to explain the situation and come up with new solutions.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Generally speaking, in SEO there’s no such thing as a minimum and maximum budget - the bigger budget you have the quicker you’ll see the results. However, the SEO budget contains the price of professional tools, communication services, reporting, and specialists’ work, that’s why in Delante we usually start the cooperation with a 1000 EUR/USD per/month budget. In the first months of the process, we invest more of our own resources (more than the client’s budget indicates) to speed up the process and let our clients see the first results of our work.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
In 2020 our project’s price range was between 2000-5000 USD (monthly SEO budget).
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We want to be among the top 3 global SEO companies. I think we’re on the right track to achieve it as at this point Delante is figuring in the group of the 8 biggest SEO firms in the world according to industry awards. We now have our employees working for that success in different places around the globe and I’m sure this will grow in time. Wish us luck ;)
