Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Digicorp is a software consultancy and start-up studio based in Dallas, TX, and Ahmedabad, India. We build usable software products for start-ups and small companies. We also work on home-grown ideas and spin off the most promising ones as separate ventures. Mobile apps developed by us get million-dollar exits and Web apps handle millions of mission-critical transactions every week.
I am one of the co-founders of the company, looking after the operational activities in India and taking care of local sales and marketing activities with the help of my USA counterpart. My main objective is to generate more business and create brand awareness for Digicorp.

What is the story behind starting this company?
Studying computer engineering together, we always wanted to start something of our own. However, we didn’t take any serious steps toward it and started opting for a job or for further study abroad. Unfortunately, 3 of us were rejected for USA Visa for further study. So after just 3 months of job stint, we decided to give our 2 years for entrepreneurship and that’s how Digicorp was born.
Four fresh graduates from Nirma University, Ahmedabad passed in 2003 and started Digicorp right after graduation. Fortunately, we clicked our first Health Care project in 3 months, which was a booster for Digicorp's journey. We all four were programmers and built the first EHR (Electronic Health Record system) for USA customers.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
From day 1 we were building in-house custom projects/products for our customers. We started with the Health care domain and then touched on various other domains building e-commerce apps, marketplaces, utility-based applications, and many more.
We cater to start-ups and small companies as customers from USA and India.
We build Web and Mobile applications with the latest technology stacks like MEAN, MERN, and ReactNative. We also build native iOs & Android apps. We are well versed with AWS services for hosting and scaling apps. Along with that, we follow automation in testing as well.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
We are a boutique agency having UI/UX as one of our USPs and engineering is in our heart. We follow a software development process in detail and make sure that we are building the right product from the beginning. We start with consulting our customer with our experience and take only those products where we feel the idea is actually solving a problem, the client is serious and has done thorough research and background work plus he understands the cost of building such products. So we actually do our due diligence and handpicked the projects to provide justice to the product/idea.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We are industry agnostic at the moment but in past few years, we have worked with Edu Tech, F&B Industry (Restaurant Business), a No-profit organization, Fin-Tech. Health-tech from the inception of Digicorp.
We usually get repeat client and referral projects. Mostly you can say 100% of our customer comes back when they have a Technical and Design project to execute. (Web or Mobile app)

Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most?
Mostly any start-up, entrepreneur, or any small enterprise wants to build a prototype, MVP, Digital product (Web and Mobile App development), or looking for UI/UX services approaches Digicorp the most.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
Customer satisfaction is most important for Digicorp. That doesn’t mean we go in do as directed mode but rather provide the right consultation and solution to customers to save time, and cost and go to market as quickly as possible.
We actually run an NSP survey for our customers to provide quarterly feedback on communication, team skill, and time taken to deliver work. According to us, customer satisfaction should be 5 out of 5 but our avg. score is 4.5 out of 5. Based on the NPS feedback score, we try to improve our processes.
We initially understand the requirement and set up a discovery sprint if required. Based on it we identify the scope of work and define sprints/milestones to deliver the work. We keep the entire product team Product manager, Sr. Developer, Principal designer & Solution Architect to be part of all the discussion.
We do have daily/weekly meetings with our customers and make sure we are on the same page as we work in an agile fashion and want equal responsibility on both ends.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Basically, we deal with our customers on day to day basis and make sure that each query and issue is resolved right away. We use GitLab for product management and that’s where we manage Sprints and clients add their issues too. We use Basecamp for overall communication, skype/slack/Zoom for calls, and a quick chat.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We usually identify the scope and its overall budget and divide it into Sprints. Sprints go for 2 weeks and so after every 2 sprints (4 weeks) we raise the bill. Mostly we follow the Monthly billing cycle for work done by sprints.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Yes, we usually take projects of mid to large size, since that is our experience building MVP to large-scale solutions. The minimum budget of our project ranges from min USD 50000 – to a max of USD 250,000.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
Between USD 10000 – USD 300,000.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We usually don’t plan this long. Honestly speaking we only plan for 1 year and take the company to next level with year-on-year growth.
