Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.

We’re Empat - a full-service mobile & web agency for startups and businesses. My name is Nazar and I'm the CEO of this company.

What is the story behind starting this company?

The story began in 2013 with the creation of a small boutique web studio with high-profile clients. This studio's co-owner and primary account manager was me. Over the next five years, I founded three startups in various industries with varying degrees of success; two of them failed, and one was sold. In 2018, I decided to bring together the teams of three startups and a web studio to form Empat. We also launched the startup studio Empat two years later, in 2021, but due to the start of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine and the focus on the Ukrainian market, we stopped investing in projects in 2022. We are now operating as a service outsourcing company.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We have 56 employees, all of whom work in-house. Furthermore, the team has a low turnover - the average contract is 4-5 years with the same developers.

The hiring of freelancers raises the risk of quality and delivery for both us and our customers.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

The majority of the team members have worked in startups, are co-founders of startups, or have their own pet projects. As a result, we have highly organized agency and creative thinking outside the box. This, I believe, is one of our strongest suits.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

Some of our clients have been working with us since 2014. Almost 70% of new projects come from existing clients or recommendations. Healthcare, FinTech, EdTech, and Social Media are some of the major industries.

Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?

We excel at creating startups from the ground up, particularly mobile apps: our developed apps are now thriving in the US market, and our clients' MVPs have received their 25M+ investments.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

The only way to know if your customers are truly satisfied with your company, products, and services is to conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys. We have a clear system for measuring customer satisfaction, and we conduct monthly surveys to determine how well we are doing our job.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

Our managers are assigned to each client and are available through the communication channels that are most convenient for them. In addition, we have two months of project support after the project is completed.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

The billing system is determined by the project. This is typically monthly billing in the time & materials format, which is approved by the client at the beginning of the month.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Projects starting at $5,000 are considered.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?

The price range is 10.000$ - 800.000$

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

10 years is too long in today's world. In the next year, we want to help our clients launch more than 50 new projects, attract more than $5 billion in investments, and have a total audience of 1 billion users across all of our projects.
