Empat

We hired Empat for creating a website: Empat built a very robust site for us. Essentially, we wanted a professional-looking website to show that we’re experts in our field. We also wanted it to be really easy to navigate. We worked closely with the Empat team to develop a custom WordPress website from scratch. With their designer, we decided on an entirely new visual layout. They also helped us through the wireframing process, so we were able to flesh out those concepts together. They performed pretty well. They were super organised and generally kept track of everything really well. We used Slack to do real time, comments and feedback, and we had weekly calls during the entire project. Then, in the design process, we used Figma,Slack. Since we launched the site externally, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from staff and board members. They exceed expectations and are great at taking directions and pivoting when needed. That honesty made us feel comfortable working with them.

We had an idea of the app aiming to help people go through COVID-19 easier. We provide users with an app that helps them understand what’s going on, how they can protect themselves, how to use medications, and what actions they should take. This app basically helps COVID-19 patients decrease the outcomes of the disease. Empat helped us create the prototype for our app. First, we went through a discovery phase to understand the users and build the customer journey. During this phase, they also did customer interviews to scope out the project and gathered the technical requirements for the design. Then, they designed the wireframes and the UI from scratch, after which they provided us with a brand book related to those designs. Finally, they designed and built the app’s prototype on Figma.

The project team consisted of the following positions: UI/UX Designer, Backend development, iOS development, Android development, Frontend development, DevOps, QA/QC. Empat provides robust, formalized practices and takes project management seriously. We had weekly meetings with the project manager to review the deliverables. We reached milestones without delays, and everything was done according to specifications. Users were taking advantage of the product’s features as they were being added continuously through regular sprints. The project began with an introduction to the team and the presentation of a project roadmap that outlined the deliverables and schedule. We started with the design and Empat sent us an app prototype for app flow approval.

My name is Natalia Ponomareva, I am an expert in the treatment of children from 0 to 18 years old with more than 12 years of experience. Founder of the Caries monster fighters project for children's doctors, parents and children. To make it easier to work with children and in order to increase and more patient involvement, I developed the idea of gamification of the process of visiting the dentist. To implement my idea, I turned to Empat for help. They developed an iOS & Android app. After launching the application, we managed to increase the number of repeat visits, as the children wanted to return to our clinic and get a new monster in the application. I was also pleasantly surprised by the engagement of users: more than 5000 cards with monsters were scanned in 2 months and in general, we managed to get a rating in the market of 4.9.
