Start.cat

Start.cat is a development studio in Alella (Barcelona) that has been building custom mobile apps, web platforms and AI automation since 2012. We work for demanding companies and institutions, with a strong focus on health and research: Cohorte ARCA (a monthly follow-up app for children and teenagers with asthma) and Your Decision (a decision aid for localized prostate cancer patients, funded by AECC) for the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, and D2M (a low-protein diet app for inherited metabolic diseases) for Hôpital Robert-Debré (AP-HP). We also build loyalty apps such as Club RUBI and product catalogues such as Compo Expert's.

What we do: native-quality iOS and Android apps, their backends and admin portals, researcher dashboards, and practical AI for SMEs (document assistants, document processing, chat and voice bots, AI inside existing products). From the first sketch to the app stores and ongoing maintenance, the same small senior team takes care of your project, with privacy (GDPR) designed in from day one.
