Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
WebMeridian is a Magento development and consulting company. Our primary focus is the development, delivery, and support of eCommerce solutions, such as online stores, marketplaces and the creation of custom features to improve customers’ stores’ performance and user experience. I am the CEO and owner of the company.
What is the story behind starting this company?
The company was created by an ambitious team that strived to improve tech solutions and use their experience and passion to build better eCommerce sites. During my previous work as a project manager, I met several developers and tech experts that were looking toward the same direction in business and development approach, so we decided to create a company that delivers our values and expertise in the eCommerce field.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
In the beginning, we were a fully in-house company. As Ukraine is a place of great tech specialists, there was no problem finding the development and management team to cover our clients’ needs. However, the market is booming; there are more opportunities but fewer specialists. That is why we are seeking additional options to cover our development needs by hiring specialists from other countries. Now, we are on the stage of research of the best option to hire more developers.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
We know the specifics of the eCommerce business, not only tech, but business part, their challenges, trends, and needs. That is why we deliver a solution that fit specific business exclusively. Still, our main range of services is consulting, website development and support.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We cover the needs of the eCommerce branch. We develop in such industries as Jewelry, Clothing, LED Lighting, Automotive, Sport, Mobile Communications, Infrared Heating, Education etc. However, we are looking to expand our expertise to work with companies from other sectors in the future.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Usually, we provide development from scratch or perform migration of the client’s store to another platform. Then our client’s either extend the team for support or the further improvement and upgrade of the features. Also, we complement teams if needed and provide staff augmentation services.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
More than 60% of our customers are happy with our services. We always tend to do more to meet the deadlines, provide better solutions and make customers feel that everything is under control and will be delivered in time. We communicate with them constantly, answer all their questions, and help with all the issues during the project, especially if it is the support of an existing site.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
There are different options available for Magento store owners, depending on the situation with their project. It is either a few issues that need to be fixed urgently or continuous support for international projects. We have four packages that cover the needs of projects at different stages of development and improvement.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
At WebMeridian, we use Fixed cost, Flat monthly fee, Pay per Feature or per Milestone. The billing structure depends on the project size, requirements, and other specific factors that occur during the negotiation process.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We have different projects, so that the price may vary from the project size and amount of tasks. If we are talking about website development from scratch, our minimum price is $10K.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
Our minimum price may vary depending on the size and complexity of the project, seniority of the specialists engaged in the project, and duration of the contract.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
Our Company will be one of top-100 European eCommerce development companies. We will launch a specific product for eCommerce and will go to the 3-5 other countries to be closer to our customers and employees and make great challenging projects together.
