You’ve probably encountered the usual issues of group decision-making in your meetings, workshops or classrooms. People dominate the conversation, quiet folks never get heard, and of course all those post-it notes you have to write up. GroupMap captures individual thinking first, then reveals the group perspective, all in real-time.

Review Summary

I am the Marketing Manager for the INCITE Awards - a technology and innovation awards program for Western Australia.

Since COVID-19, our committee has stopped meeting face to face and work remotely. We have been using a local tech software called GroupMap to do online brainstorming on how we can turn our normally face to face events program virtual.

Pros of GroupMap: super easy interface/UI, so we didn't need a demo to be able to just start using it for brainstorming, voting and reporting on ideas online + the ready to use templates mean we can just create the title of our brainstorm and workshop and start brainstorming + it allows for committee members who are normally quieter or don't get a say as much in face to face events to share their ideas faster and better!

Cons of GroupMap: There's a lot of templates and as we are all time poor and needed to just get going and act fast to turn our face-to-face events virtual, we haven't had time to go through the templates to see what would work better for our workshops and brainstorm sessions, and for other aspects of our program such as judging.
