Join.me is a neat little app that we use at Loanry
We use the free version for individual users - max capacity allowed is 5 - but we are a smallish team and don’t have large meetings, mainly interdepartmental meetings if working remotely.
No need for us to use the big boys and we have found that join.me has very little, if any buffering, even at peak times through the day.
It’s an easy-to-use video conferencing software solution with a contemporary interface similar to others I’ve used and this helps new users get up to speed fairly quickly.
It offers all the standard fare - note taking, recording ( screen & audio), private chats, mute - no more or no less than we needed.
If/when we hold lagers meetings we may upgrade to one of the household names, but our meetings are few and far between so we’re happy with this humble little app.
We use Join.me for our web conferences.
Pros:
Join.me has an intuitive interface. It's easily customizable and simple to fire up a conference call when we need to.
It's possible to integrate with MS Outlook.. This plugin will automatically add your join.me details, including link and call-in number, to all meeting invites.
Join.me allows us to record calls and store the recordings for future reference and for any who are unable to attend the meeting.
Cons:
We do see bandwidth issues when we have large conferences (150+ attendees). When this happens we have to ask people to use their phones to listen to the meeting to preserve bandwidth..
