Pros Intacct is very responsive; you never have to wait longer than a few seconds for any sort of request on this software. It is very easy to generate invoices and customize them. You don’t need to have multiple financial statements in Excel. You can do it right in Sage Intacct. Cons Difficult to use for people with a poor accounting background. Troubleshooting errors is a difficult task for this software. Changes are made very often on the software. It takes time to get hold of new things every time. While the software offers all the mandatory services one would look for, compromise on usability is unacceptable. The ease of use and the learning ability required to operate the software must be catered better. Once you get used to the software, it is one of the best options you have.

Sage Intacct has been a huge benefit to 4 different organizations I've helped implement over the past 5 years. They have automated processes, provided real-time dashboard access to top decision makers in the company, and provided a cloud based environment that works well with a host of vendor services to allow our company to go completely virtual in the finance department.

My experience with Intacct is that it is very reliable and there is very little (if any) downtime. I'm happy with the functionality and I find the UI to be very user friendly and intuitive. We integrated Intacct to Adaptive Insights and were really happy to have daily actuals integrated into our Adaptive planning system for real-time reporting. This was a huge plus for us!

I have worked with quiet a few different ERP systems. Each has their own unique properties and reasons why someone would want to use them. Sage Intacct has been by far my favorite system. I find the program to be user friendly and comfortable for beginners to work in. Intacct has great reporting capabilities and integrates with many different outside tools. Forecasts and budgets can be imported to provide even further insight into your companies futures. Both my direct reports who work in AR and AP both enjoy using the system and believe it far surpasses other tools.

Intacct has a lot of functionality for the business world and a lot of things can be done to achieve what is needed for your company. The company I work for has a couple of different entities that we keep the books for and we have clients that we keep the books for. We are able to do all of this in Intacct and keep everything separate. There are some aspects that do need improving though including: The account description is cut short when entering Journal entries. So, if you have Accrued Expenses, Accrued Interest, Accrued Indemnity...one would only be able to see the Accrued word and not the rest Purchasing Transactions do not have a "submit and new" button Deactivated cash accounts still show up on the bank register When emailing invoices, a distribution cannot be created for multiple recipients Standard Invoice Documents don't pull data from the customer fields as they should Credits do not populate on the payment screen as stand alone items. Instead you apply the credits without seeing the credits you are applying A trial balance cannot be run with multiple dimensions i.e. customer/class When going into a "receive payment" you cannot receive a payment on an account with a zero balance IT support uses a ticket system that they will close out if the user is still reviewing the item or is scheduling to view the item

We have had a lot of success with Intacct. The reports are customizable and there are many dimensions to report on so you can slice and dice the information in many different ways. We recently recapped with a PE firm and the system has been great through the transition.

We switched from Epicor to Sage Intacct in 2018, and are very happy with our decision. Its out-of-the-box solution made the transition go smoothly. We would highly recommend this software.
