Good product, bad sales experience

I have a mixed env (linux and windows server), had a few issues on linux side with memory and CPU usage. Also some older linux systems had some issues running their client. Had to use an older version of their client that did not support the incremental forever model. I also work for a non-profit and their initial pricing was discounted quite a bit. Going forward however it became way to expensive to upgrade to keep up with our growing capacity. Did not seem like their sales dept (through a reseller, not unitrends directly) was very concerned about losing us as a customer.

It works, but getting to support can be difficult and expensive

I took over a position that was only 1 year into a 3 year contract. The device had lost power and it corrupted the backups, so that it had to start over. Over the next two years, I was able to restore a couple of servers and when it worked, it was great and painless. When I had an issue, it was a nightmare to get to talk to support. I actually had to reach out to their contact on social media to get them to call me back one day after spending almost 2 hours trying to call and chat. At the end of my contract to upgrade my devices to support our servers, the price was ridiculous even with a trade in amount.
