At Auxesis Infotech, our purpose is very simple: to code & deliver your vision. Nine years ago, we began with a small two-people team to develop basic websites. Today we still develop for people who start small - as well as for enterprises and tech giants of different industries and more. That “more” is the multidirectional coding horizons ranging from web portals to mobile applications to software platforms.

Auxesis Infotech Executive Interview

Visit Profile
Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
Auxesis Infotech is a digital agency specializing in Web and Mobile App Design Development with an absolute stronghold on platforms like Drupal, Wordpress, Ecommerce, and other PHP based CMS and Android, iOS, Hybrid for mobile apps. Along with that, we have expertise in Graphic Designs and Motion Graphics that includes Videos and Gifs.
Coming to my role-
I follow a fascinating pattern of ambition, leadership, and management to deal with day to day troubles and to keep our start-up boat sailing. The development of the organization depends on every small correct decision taken at the right time and for the right thing. And it has been an endeavor to reduce the risk.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
The idea of Auxesis Infotech came into being because of the immense passion of Mr. Aritra Ghosh for the codes and to build something new and innovative with the languages of the computer. The inception of the organization is dated 14th August 2014 with two people in a room and a single project in hand to start with. Success is too unpredictable and based on perspective. I believe the real success lies in the fact that the organization is running with smiling faces and is in the fifth year of its existence. The company is driven by its primary motive to grow with the team and for the team, who are giving their best efforts to the organization.
What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have an in-house team of developers and designers along with project manager, QA, and other non-technical staff to handle and execute requirements of the clients related to web design and development, motion graphics, mobile applications.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
Excellence is a routine at Auxesis Infotech.

And we provide the excellence in delivery through our constant support and communication with the client, robust backend development, accommodating change requests, which arise to make the product better, and keeping the scope within the budget for the client.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?
Website and mobile applications are the fundamental pillars for the success of any business in any industry. A business runs on the fact of how much the client base is increasing, strategies of expansion and a strong call to action. These significant factors are embedded in a well-built website and mobile application. So, our preference is not as per the type of industry; rather, we try our best to make our portfolio as versatile as possible.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a web app.
For us, the main factor/parameters that determine the time frame of developing a web app are:
  • UI & UX
  • Resource Availability
  • Custom Application
  • App Designing
  • Number of Screens/Platforms/Devices/Operating Systems
  • Features
  • Third-Party Integration
  • The complexity of the App
  • App Security
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a web app?
Depends on the nature of the work. Both backend and frontend have their challenges and creativity space.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a web application?
The essential factors that we keep in mind while selecting the right platform for a web application are:
  • Timeframe to develop
  • Technical Support and extendability
  • Reporting and Analytics
  • Technical Features and Ease of Development
  • Potential Updates to the Platform
  • Security
  • Target Audience
  • Integration
Which platform and technologies do you prefer to use in the development of your web apps?
Being a professional web app developer, we are comfortable with all platforms. Hence, there are no specific technologies and platforms that we prefer to use for web app development. It all depends on the client’s business objective, preferences, nature of the business, and budget.
Do you offer website design templates or customized website design, and do you have a responsive website design?
Being a team of web designers and developers, we are well equipped and knowledgeable to handle all the related requirements to build templates, custom develop code and make sure the work is responsive.
Which Content Management System do you prefer to use (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal etc)?
We believe all the platforms and frameworks have their own potentials and importance depending on the type of requirement, security, and extendability the client is asking for. But, in general, Drupal fits in well to all the above concerns and cases.  Sites such as Tesla, Australian Govt, Harvard University, White House, and many other potential brands use Drupal as their website framework, which is convincing enough for anyone to accept Drupal.
Do you provide website maintenance services?
Both websites and apps are subjected to regular maintenance or changes. Therefore, being a professional developer, Auxesis Infotech also accepts maintenance services. We ensure not to leave any room of disappointment for our clients even in the maintenance work.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a web application?
The pricing model of services varies from min to max range depending on the criticality of the work and volume of the work. The hourly or fixed budget of a particular work mainly depends on the confidence you have on your team and work output. If you are self-reliant with the delivery, the budget/quotation should reflect how you stand out from the crowd.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
It depends on the volume of the work and development span. If the scope is small enough to finish within 30-40 working days, we prefer the fixed cost divided into milestones, and if the Individual features are complex and time-taking, we prefer feature-wise billing.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
The budgeting does not have a fixed thumb rule. It depends on a few factors like the complexity of the scope, availability of a resource, period to deliver the work and, most importantly, the capability to deliver the work successfully. The minimum requirement is always to have clarity on the scope of the work.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
2018 has been a year with good ROI. The budget varied from 1000 USD to 50,000 USD projects.
Kindly share your feedback on how GoodFirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.
We enrolled Auxesis Infotech in GoodFirms in 2019 and hoping to get benefited with this enrollment.

The portal is an online platform for students to book classes from various tutors of diverse backgrounds. Students can search for tutors and classes based on various filters and criteria. These classes can be both online via web conference, or home tutoring.

This project was meant to be a website for students to book classes from various tutors online. The tutors would register online and fill up various information and their resume. They would then go through an approval process and once verified, their listing would start to appear on the site. Students can search based on different criteria using an extensive filtering mechanism. They can then book the two modes of classes - either online or offline (if a tutor has added this option to his profile). Then the student makes a payment deposit as per selected tutor as per selected time slot and per hour rate of the tutor. And once done, the payment is escrowed to the tutor, after he enters his bank details, IBAN and BIC details. Another great functionality which we implemented here is the group class feature. Any tutor can start the group class and can mention how many students can be accommodated in one group class. And then students start to register for the class till it is full. There are various complex discount calculations which a student is entitled to if refers another student to the group as there is a feature to get referral discounts for referring other students to the group class. Some of the processes, especially referral discount calculation, were very complex, and our team of experienced backend developers successfully handled those challenges and went above and beyond every expectation.

This project was about building a web product for an ecommerce company, who wanted to sell ecommerce extensions to different websites. Ideally, it would be a multi site setup for different clients who would want to set up an ecommerce extension for their own websites by purchasing this service. This is a classic example of a complex drupal multisite set up heavily relying on Aegir. Ideally any website owner, who wish to set up an ecommerce store, but don’t want to go through the pain of implementing a full blown ecommerce into their site, would purchase the service from this client, and would select a few basic features, like subdomain name, and package and template they wish to subscribe to. The client already had different templates for ecommerce stores, which are nothing but drupal installations with different features, themes and set ups. Once they select this, Aegir will roll out a new drupal website with the selected template, with the subdomain that the client wanted. For example, let’s say a company xyz.com have purchased a service from the client, and then wanted to set up an ecommerce store at abc.xyz.com which is rolled out by Aegir system automatically with the pre selected templates (called drush make files), which are nothing but complete drupal set ups ready with themes, modules and configurations like necessary content types for products, informational pieces and banners.

The goal of the project was to first set up a perfectly lined up content management system for the client's growing content needs. The site was content rich, with news, events, partners, working groups etc, which contained intricate relationships amongst each other. Apart from that, we needed to set up some complicated functionalities like invoicing, content moderation and approval mechanism and calendar features. At the time they contacted us, the client’s portal had a vast array of fans and fan accessories, but was poorly designed with a primitive and slow fan builder process. They were running a Web Store based on Drupal 6 + Ubercart. There were 4 major targets:

  • Migrate their site to Drupal 7
  • Port their ecommerce store from Ubercart (with about 30,000 fans and fan accessories) to Drupal Commerce with enhanced features.
  • Create a much improved version of their fan builder feature which allows visitors to compile various parts of the fan (like motor, blades, light kits, downrods) through an interactive graphical interface.
  • Redesign the website to make it more attractive and responsive.

This project was not a simple one dimensional project. This project had multiple layers and staged roll out plans. The initial goal of the project was to set up a basic platform for people to register and put in all their details, complete and submit KYC and then be able to browse some data like properties, charities etc. They also get access to the dashboard where they show them the key matrices. At this point, the client planned to start in depth and extensive advertising campaigns reaching out to as many users as possible across the globe and get them on board. For this they needed an email newsletter campaign builder, capable of sending 20,000 emails per day, based on customized templates and selecting recipients based on certain criteria. Also, they needed an extensive translation system, which was simply not possible with Drupal's native translation interface, though it definitely was a good base. Next in line was an in depth referral system. The client wanted to further reach out and lure users to refer others who would then join the platform using the referral. Referral benefits were provided in the form of DOM tokens, which later once the currency went live, users will be able to withdraw. While these things were happening and the user registering and referral programme was becoming more and more successful day by day, we started to work on the main aspect of the site, the DOM token order sell. The Pre ITO and ITO phases were upcoming, and we allocated a section of the team to dedicatedly work on these aspects. We devised a well thought out sell procedure based on extremely complicated conditions and restrictions. Pre ITO arrived and ITO arrived, both a huge hit. Next up, was the blockchain integration, which is at present underway. We are discussing the architecture and integrating the ARDOR API for this, and making steady progress day by day. In addition, there is constant monitoring work going on behind the scene, and a section of our team is steadily working making small fixes and maintenance polish ups, ensuring the site remains perfect and performant.

They came to us with a vision to create a full blown back office management system for their business. This includes creation of shipment (called as jobs), manifests, connotes, scanning of barcodes feature, integration with quickbooks API and a host of other features. A systematic transition from one phase to another needed to be achieved which helps in smooth transit between different branches, along with the detailed record keeping and job sheet creations through barcode scanning feature which we implemented.

The main requirement of the project was to create a marketplace for Iron and Steel products - to connect sellers and buyers together. The goal of the website is to bridge the gap between sellers and buyers of iron and steel products in micro (C2C) or macro (B2B) scales. Service Providers register on the site and can create Products, Auctions, RFQs, Tender Sales. There are various intricate interactions between these three components, and a detailed membership module delegating permissions based on membership levels. Also the site needed to be fully bi lingual, in Farsi (RTL) and English.

From thereon, we forged a solid partnership and what followed for next 4 years was a series of standalone projects and enhancement work to their vast network of web platforms across various countries. The web architecture that the client has is a vast network of 150+ Drupal 8 multisite set up, and approximately 50+ separate functional Drupal 8 sites. Hired Auxesis to build an e-commerce site in Jan. 2020. Was told the project would take 2 months. It is now November and still don't have a functioning website. As a business owner, I am not a fan of leaving bad reviews but wanted to warn other companies who may be considering their services to think twice. It could very well be that this was an isolated incident but the fact they have not tried to make the situation right raises flags. I will not go into all the details of all the things they failed to complete, their lack of communication, and their dishonest practices. I definitely do not recommend their services.

Our company needed a website where buyers and sellers can look out for their properties and for the tenants to be able to contact the real estate agents as per the geographical location.
