Client Goal 🥅: The client aimed to develop Endo-App, a certified medical mobile application designed to empower women with endometriosis and/or adenomyosis by providing a holistic, evidence-based platform to manage symptoms. The goal was to create a user-friendly, scientifically grounded app that supports users through personalized symptom tracking, expert-led modules, and interactive exercises, fostering a deeper understanding of their condition while complementing standard medical treatments.
Our Contribution 💻: As Brilworks Software, we led the development of Endo-App, delivering a robust, certified medical product tailored to the needs of endometriosis patients. Our team’s key contributions included:
📊 Personalized Symptom Diary: Developed a tailored symptom-tracking system, enabling users to correlate factors like diet, exercise, and work with their symptoms, providing actionable insights.
🩺 Holistic Support Modules: Built science-backed modules integrating disciplines such as medicine, physical therapy, nutrition, pain management, yoga, psychology, and relaxation techniques, delivered by experts.
🏋️♀️ Interactive Exercises: Implemented practical, expert-curated exercises that users can easily integrate into their daily routines via their smartphones.
🔐 Secure Activation System: Integrated an activation wizard to guide users in obtaining health insurance codes for app access, ensuring compliance with medical regulations (e.g., CE certification and DiGA approval in Germany).
📱 Android Optimization: Ensured seamless performance, accessibility, and a responsive UI/UX across Android devices, with multilingual support to enhance user inclusivity.
🤝 Client Collaboration: Worked closely with the client to align the app’s functionality and design with their vision of empowering users through a holistic, non-diagnostic tool that complements professional medical care.
Project Success 🏆: Endo-App successfully launched on the Google Play Store, establishing itself as a trusted, CE-certified medical product and an approved digital health application in Germany (DiGA). The app has been praised for its comprehensive approach, with users appreciating the personalized symptom diary and expert-led content for managing endometriosis. Despite some feedback about the $10/month subscription cost, the app offers a 7-day trial and a 6-month free access option for USA users via a volunteer tester program. The app’s holistic support, including interactive exercises and multilingual accessibility, has made it a valuable tool for women aged 18+ with diagnosed endometriosis, fulfilling the client’s mission of enhancing well-being
