Business Services

Envee is a Melbourne-based startup company, that specialises in 100% bio-based bean bag beans and aims to create highly functional bio-based products to lower environmental impacts and work towards a sustainable future. We developed a marketing strategy using paid ads and social media to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to their website and increase sales. One of the main goals, which had also shaped our marketing strategy, was focusing on sustainability and educating consumers on the benefits and importance of purchasing bio-based products to make a more sustainable choice and collaborating with brands with similar values.

Our Approach

When strategising for the brand, we had four objectives.

1. Brand establishment and social presence

Envee aimed to establish a strong brand identity and increase its visibility on social media platforms. Our team conducted a comprehensive analysis of the company's values, target audience, and competitors. We then developed a cohesive brand strategy, including a brand voice that resonated with the company's mission. Social media channels Instagram and Facebook were strategically chosen to reach envee's target audience. Regular posting schedules, engaging content, and community-building initiatives were implemented to foster a sense of connection with the audience.

2. Increasing brand awareness

To boost brand awareness, we ran successful campaigns on META and Google and envee partnered with other sustainable bean bag companies, creating a network of like-minded businesses. Cross-promotional activities and joint campaigns were executed to leverage each company's audience and amplify the industry's sustainability message.

The Results

The marketing strategy yielded incredible results thus far (in 2023 compared to 2022) with:

  • Total sales increasing by 38%

  • Total paid advertising impressions increased by 35.3%

  • Increased online store sessions by 12%

  • Increased Average Order Value by 11%

Travel & Lifestyle

Dr Sonia Hatem Sarkis, the founder and principal Chiropractor at Chiroease Wellness Studio, wanted to take her wellness clinic and centre that offered chiropractic, reformer pilates and massage to the next level.

Sonia wanted to see her services fully booked. She already had a healthy email database, strong referrals and an existing Google Advertising strategy to keep the bookings consistent.

However, she wanted to reach new audience groups and strengthen Chiroease’s brand in the areas it serves. All these goals were set in the middle of several COVID-19 lockdowns.

Our Approach

All the essential foundations were already in place to help Sonia reach her business goals, all that was needed was a fresh approach. To effectively boost Chiroease’s efforts in paid advertising, social media content, and email marketing, it was imperative to align the brand with its new vision, which was carried across all the different platforms.

The Results

We collaborated with Mike Tarr Photography to provide creative direction for new brand photography. These visions were used for the website, social media, paid ads and email marketing.

We also established and managed the monthly email marketing by executing a content strategy to nurture their existing client relationships. This element was key to connecting with their audience since the wellness studio could only offer essential health services during the lockdown periods.

Lastly, we tackled rebuilding their new website on Squarespace. We were rebranding, not redesigning, so we integrated the existing booking platform used for their service offerings. By rebranding their website, we also optimised their on-page SEO and designed creative where needed.

Chiroease now has a beautifully curated collection of premium photography, that tells the story of their brand, complemented by a successful website that is optimised for bookings, as well as a bespoke email strategy for communicating with their clients.

Automotive

The Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce enlisted Content Smith to develop a paid advertising strategy to support the launch of a new industry podcast, THE GRILLE.

THE GRILLE is an industry podcast for auto professionals and motoring enthusiasts, brought to you by the best in the business. Hosted by Greg Hunt, Shane Jacobson, VACC CEO, Geoff Gwilym, the crew interviews automotive greats, including UK star Jeremy Clarkson and MotoGP legend Mick Doohan and F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo in their first season.

The objectives of the campaign were to increase brand awareness online and drive subscriptions, downloads and reviews of THE GRILLE podcast

Our Approach

We used Facebook and LinkedIn Advertising to drive the key messages to VACC’s audience groups.

As usual, our campaigns were led by the data. Each week we monitored the results and recommended ways to optimise our ads.

All social media ad creative was designed by us, including the edited video ads to incorporate key sound bites of the podcast. Testing copy, creatives and audience groups were key to achieving the results.

Information Technology

VAGO, the Victorian Auditor-General's Office, plays a pivotal role in auditing crucial government services that directly affect the lives of Victorians. Despite the significance of their work, VAGO struggled with limited awareness among both the general population and key Members of Parliament (MPs). The lack of visibility and reporting on the impact of their marketing efforts, especially on their primary audience, MPs, was a pressing challenge.

In collaboration with VAGO, we embarked on a mission to address VAGO's awareness issues. We recognised that to truly understand the scope of the challenge, we needed to start with a thorough assessment of their existing digital ecosystem.

Our approach began with a critical 90-page digital marketing audit, which scrutinised every facet of VAGO's online presence. This audit encompassed an exhaustive examination of their website, content strategy, and all digital channels. Our team left no stone unturned, ensuring that the audit provided a high level of detail and insight into VAGO's current digital marketing landscape.

The Results

Our partnership with VAGO yielded remarkable results:

We successfully grew VAGO's social media profile, increasing engagements by an impressive 253%.

Recognising the importance of diverse platforms, we established a new social media presence for VAGO on Instagram and TikTok, tapping into a wider audience.

To ensure consistency and a professional image, we developed comprehensive VAGO brand guidelines, establishing a strong brand identity that was previously lacking.

We initiated paid advertising campaigns on META, LinkedIn, and TikTok, effectively reaching critical stakeholders and decision-makers.

Through a combination of strategic efforts, we grew VAGO's organic audience, increasing the organisation's reach and influence.

Healthcare & Medical

The Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) engaged with us to help them raise national awareness and educate the public on Myopia and surrounding issues on the importance of regular eye exams, general misconceptions about myopia, and compliance with refractive correction – and to do so in a way that was relatable and engaging to target audiences.

This campaign was carried out in partnership with the United Nations agency World Health Organisation (WHO). We worked with both organisations to ensure the creative strategy was aligned with these well-known brands.

The Challenge

The Centre for Eye Research Australia is an independent Medical Research Institute, affiliated with the University of Melbourne. While it is an established brand in the industry, it’s digital presence wasn’t geared to engage with this campaign’s target audience groups. Their existing database couldn’t be utilised either so we needed to develop a strategy to build a new and engaged audience for this campaign.

While simply reaching as many Australians as the budget allowed seemed to be the initial challenge, there was the underlying challenge of influencing peoples’ perceptions of eye health and booking regular eye tests for young children and adults.

Our Solution

Paid Advertising increased brand visibility and targeted outreach to our ideal audience. This helped us reach a broad range of people who might not have otherwise encountered information about myopia. Through paid advertising, we gained valuable leads from interested individuals seeking information on myopia. By strategically placing calls to action within the ads, we connected with those who wanted to learn more.

The Results

With a diverse and creative range of advertisements, from landing pages to still images and graphics, Content Smith seamlessly brought the public health message of Myopia to Australians.

Key wins:

  • We reached close to 700,000 unique individuals across Australia and had eyeballs on it over 1.92 million times.

  • Generated over 15,500 website visits who learnt more about myopia

  • Raised 202 email subscribers
