DenHaagTax is a taxi company in The Hague, Netherlands, that was looking for a solution to the challenges they were facing due to the increasing demand for their services and the growing competition in the market.

Challenge

The challenge for DenHaagTax was to create a custom booking system that would simplify the booking flow for users and be easy to use. In addition, the system had to have real-time calculations for address entry, to ensure a smooth and efficient booking experience. With an increasing demand for their services and growing competition in the market, DenHaagTax needed a solution that would help them stay ahead of the competition.

Approach

To address these challenges, our team implemented a custom solution for DenHaagTax. We used A/B testing to ensure the best user experience and chose to develop the system using Ruby on Rails and React. Our experienced software developers worked closely with the company to understand their unique needs and requirements, and to ensure that the solution met their specific requirements and goals.

Result

The result of our efforts was a user-friendly and intuitive booking system that allowed DenHaagTax to easily manage and track bookings, order taxis and process payments. The system included features such as an admin panel and automatic confirmation emails.

Oneglimpse is a software solution that allows users to privately share files with others while preventing them from taking screenshots or recording their screen. This provides a secure way to share sensitive information, especially for companies and organizations that need to exchange confidential information.

Challenge

MacOS did not have built-in protection against screen recording, which was a requirement for Oneglimpse’s file sharing solution. The challenge was to find a solution that would prevent recipients of the shared files from capturing the screen and accessing the information without permission. This was a major challenge, as other software houses did not consider the solution feasible.

Approach

Gainimpact took a creative approach to finding a solution, carefully examining the limitations of Mac OS and finding a way to implement screen saver. The team invested time and effort into developing a solution that met the customer's needs and expectations.

Result

The result was a successful implementation of the Mac version of Oneglimpse, which provided a secure and reliable way to share private files. The client was very pleased with the outcome and appreciated Gainimpact’s affordable and feasible solution. This tablet would serve as an easy-to-use tool for bar staff, while also improving customer interaction by displaying real-time order statuses. The goal was to provide an integrated solution within the existing Tapp ecosystem, improving the overall event experience.

Challenges:

The challenges were numerous and demanding. Firstly, the POS tablet had to be scalable, so that it could handle peak times during busy events without compromising performance. In addition, it was crucial to seamlessly integrate the tablet with the existing infrastructure of the Tapp ecosystem, ensuring a consistent user experience. Another challenge was designing an interface with multiple screens: one for the bar staff to process orders and another for customers to view the status of their orders. Furthermore, the tablet had to be able to scan QR codes generated for customer orders, adding an extra layer of functionality.

Approach:

The development team chose React Native for its versatility and compatibility with different devices and platforms. By using React Native, they were able to create a uniform user experience regardless of the device being used. SDK integration was essential to enable QR code scanning functionality and communication with the backend. A thorough backend integration ensured that the POS tablet could communicate seamlessly with the existing systems of the Tapp ecosystem.

Results:

After intensive work and close collaboration, the team managed to develop a fully functional POS tablet. The tablet could not only scan QR codes for order processing, but also provided an intuitive interface for bar staff and customers. Customers could now easily view the status of their orders on the tablet’s customer-facing screen. The integration of the POS tablet into the Tapp ecosystem ensured a seamless user experience and improved the efficiency of the order processing process during events.

Conclusion: The development of the POS tablet for the Tapp ecosystem was a successful project that resulted in a valuable addition to Tapp’s existing offering.
